That's among some of the cheapest.
ACWA charges 985, AASW is 1800.
If you get what I'm pointing out
..

That is the real problem. I have never requested for my transcript before, I just requested now and was told it would take a while before it would be delivered. I am using my husband's company as the organisation so I can have a copy.

I also saw that ACS will collect $500 for the assessment, oluwa mi, that is on the high O. Anyways, waiting for my transcript first.

What do I need to get from my former employees or do I just submit my CV to ACS?

Sorry for so many questions jare

Hello,

I have been reading through the thread for some time and still not sure how to go about the process.

My spouse and I with our 2 kids are planning to relocate, we thought of Canada initially but Canada is on the lips of everybody and hence might be highly competitive, hence Australia. We are also open to suggestions based on our unique situation. I am just lost on where and how to start and what are our chances?

You can only nominate one occupation. For example, if you nominate a facilities manager, all other experiences are operations manager will not be considered.

Hello everyone. I'm currently working here in Nigeria and I'm also doing an online program to secure an MBA degree with a school in London. I've done a lot of research online and I realized that Australia pays better than London. I don't like Canada because of the cold. I'm yet to complete my MBA program but I want to migrate to Australia and continue the program. Please what's the best way to do this. What's the easiest way to get a work visa in Australia. I've been applying online via seek.com but I haven't gotten any positive response since I don't have a Visa . I feel the whole IELTS thing is a long process and it's not even certain that I'll get It. Please I need advice. I work in the banking industry
The earlier you start preparing for the English test, the better for you.
Getting a job from Nigeria is super unrealistic except you have specific skills which are readily not available here; not even 'banking industry'

Hello to the moderators on this platform.
Please a quick one.
I am seriously interested in the Australian immigration. During my findings I discovered Valuers to be among the occupations listed under skilled independent visa(189).
My wife is presently a senior Estate Surveyor in one of the Tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
Can she apply as a valuer? As I believe her job description could be tailored towards that.

Below are her details

Btech and Mtech Estate mgt
Registered member of NIESV
Not yet taken English test.
Over 7 years experience.

While my own details are:
BSc and MSc Economics
Over 8 years experience in health Administration.
No English test yet.

Please I will like to know if we are both to do the assessment or she should only do it?

I will like to also know how to ascertain if the Valuer occupation hasn't been over applied for, as I learnt that some occupations are already over applied for, which makes it very difficult to be selected for ITA, except the person scores far above the 65 threshold point.

Please I will need all assistance I could get here. I will be waiting for a response soonest
Thanks.

Hello great minds,

I'm putting together my documents for submission for assessment. For the bank statement, please is it necessary to highlight salary payments on it before sending in?

I don't know if it is necessary, but i highlighted mine (that's just the kind of person I am).

Canada is your best bet since you have double degree

You can as well go through anzscosearch.com to check which occupation to assess

I like how they are discouraging.

For me, it spurs me.

But it's necessary to sound pessimistic cos some might get to Aussie and get depressed or dissapointed if they have high hopes that things will be easy there.

I still naija tho.

Hello JFA01

Your wife may go ahead and apply for the Valuer occupation. It isn't saturated at all, like the Accountant occupation. In fact, she may apply for Valuer or Land Economist, as they have exactly the same requirements. For her assessment, she should go with the qualification that will not hamper her experience (unless if there was no gap btw her Btech & Mtech).

Also note that we have two categories of institutions:
Tier 1 Schools (Unilag, OAU, FUTA & Uni of Ibadan - a four year course will suffice)
Tier 2 Schools (Others - with a 5 year or more course).

I believe Estate Management is a 5year course, so she is good to go anyways.

As for you, you will only be required to do the English Test to give her an additional 5points.

All the best!

Thanks for your kind support with this.... smiley

You are spot on. But it is better to write this letter yourself, so you can be detailed enough to cover your relevant experience. Then, you give whoever is to sign on behalf of the Organisation.

Yes - ‘To whom it may concern’ will do.

All the best!

Hi Akeabasi

See it as an occupation that rarely find peeps' qualification & experience match. So, go ahead and take charge!

Hello, I have interest in applying for the Aussie PR but I just got my documents from school and yet to serve. My field of study “maritime” might really be essential at the moment but I once checked on the 494. Is there any other visa means or I should get some work experience in my field of study before planning for the PR, I await your response.

Hello everyone, my respect goes to the brain behind this wonderful thread Hon. Bellong, @tunlex for your selfless service. I have been following this thread for over a year now and need some clarifications on the following questions. Firstly, as a practicing Medical Laboratory Scientist for over seven years now, if am to assess my qualification as a Scientist but get approved as a Technician with no intention of writing the professional exam, can I still get my 15 points for my degree. Secondly, it is written boldly at AIMS website not to summit pay slips, bank statement and tax document, how can they ascertain my years of experience without the aforementioned. Please @Experience4u your input will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Cashier is not on the occupation list.
Accountant is also a no-go area because the onshore list of applicant is a long one.
