That is the real problem. I have never requested for my transcript before, I just requested now and was told it would take a while before it would be delivered. I am using my husband's company as the organisation so I can have a copy.

I also saw that ACS will collect $500 for the assessment, oluwa mi, that is on the high O. Anyways, waiting for my transcript first.

What do I need to get from my former employees or do I just submit my CV to ACS?

You can visit www.anzscosearch.com to check out the occupation(s) you can nominate.
You can only nominate one occupation. For example, if you nominate a facilities manager, all other experiences are operations manager will not be considered.

The earlier you start preparing for the English test, the better for you.
Getting a job from Nigeria is super unrealistic except you have specific skills which are readily not available here; not even 'banking industry'

My wife is presently a senior Estate Surveyor in one of the Tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
Can she apply as a valuer? As I believe her job description could be tailored towards that.

Registered member of NIESV
Not yet taken English test.
Over 7 years experience.

While my own details are:
BSc and MSc Economics
Over 8 years experience in health Administration.
No English test yet.

Please I will like to know if we are both to do the assessment or she should only do it?

I will like to also know how to ascertain if the Valuer occupation hasn't been over applied for, as I learnt that some occupations are already over applied for, which makes it very difficult to be selected for ITA, except the person scores far above the 65 threshold point.

For me, it spurs me.


But it's necessary to sound pessimistic cos some might get to Aussie and get depressed or dissapointed if they have high hopes that things will be easy there.

In fact, she may apply for Valuer or Land Economist, as they have exactly the same requirements. For her assessment, she should go with the qualification that will not hamper her experience (unless if there was no gap btw her Btech & Mtech).

Also note that we have two categories of institutions:
Tier 1 Schools (Unilag, OAU, FUTA & Uni of Ibadan - a four year course will suffice)
Tier 2 Schools (Others - with a 5 year or more course).

I believe Estate Management is a 5year course, so she is good to go anyways.

As for you, you will only be required to do the English Test to give her an additional 5points.

You are spot on. But it is better to write this letter yourself, so you can be detailed enough to cover your relevant experience. Then, you give whoever is to sign on behalf of the Organisation.

I have been following this thread for over a year now and need some clarifications on the following questions. Firstly, as a practicing Medical Laboratory Scientist for over seven years now, if am to assess my qualification as a Scientist but get approved as a Technician with no intention of writing the professional exam, can I still get my 15 points for my degree. Secondly, it is written boldly at AIMS website not to summit pay slips, bank statement and tax document, how can they ascertain my years of experience without the aforementioned. Accountant is also a no-go area because the onshore list of applicant is a long one.
