I am glad Trump has lost I wish the Biden administration success and that the GOP will fail and be powerless in any effort to frustrate his government.

I just wanted the orange clown out and it has happened.

The end of an error 2016-2020 cool

Already... Wow.
So happy for the dreamers and Nigerians on the verge of immigrating permanently affected by Trump's policy. E.g one of my two cousins in Atlanta has his wife stick in Nigeria.

Nancy is only a shepherd, the sheep have minds of their own and even now there is a plot to unseat Nancy by the right wing extremists of the democratic party over the poor performance of democratic party candidates losing some elections and replacing her with one of her extreme assistants one black conservative democrat whose name I've forgotten! He denied it of course, so I'm just saying the democrats are not a single unified body

The liberal voters will just not sit out an election where Trump is on the ballot. They will even vote an orangutan over Trump. The reason some sat out the last election is cos they believed the polls that Hilary would win, and were treating their absence as a protest vote. Election na simple Mathematics.
so you agree then that trump and not policy is the reason for the liberal vote! If that reasoning can apply to liberals and rebel republicans why can't it apply to undecideds?

We gonna be alright, I can only trust Mitt Romney on that cos he's got nothing to lose.

I've been hearing some chatter that Mitch McConnell and president biden have long standing relationship as a former senate colleague, but can you trust any Republican, NO.

They will gladly sell their mother for bus fare.
You are right that is why I feel bad that they could not secure the majority now even though there are two close senate races yet to be called.
I hope they all put their efforts in ensuring high voter turnout for the run off so that Harris becomes the tie breaker incase they don't win any of the race yet to be called now.
Hopefully by 2022 they do better. The dems should learn from the Gop in turning out their base and expanding by making their party more appealing to the American people I hope they do better in the mid terms

Trump needs to back down now or face huge humiliation, but to me i think he is looking for some kind of leverage right now so that they don't shred his life completely after he's done.

The same Fox that declared Arizona for Biden, even when the election was not done yet? Why should I trust them? I hope you don't for once believe I am one of those people who feed on Fox News stories because Trump goes there many times.

Whether you appreciate it or not, some people (undecideds) just don't care about politics that much, while other undecideds are very informed but selfish and only judge politics on what's in it for them. I fall into the second category, and mostly vote on tax issues and decency of candidates rhetoric (I don't vote based on moral issues like abortion, religious views, gay rights etc, I only care about my safety as a black man). A white man in the same position could overlook Trumps racist invectives cos it doesn't affect him directly rather than vote for Sanders who he knows may hammer his taxes.

The Dem base is still extreme left, letting GOP dictate the talking point everything is why we keep getting annihilated every election cycle. Good luck with all the fantasy of getting McConnell to compromise on anything.

so a political aspirant should then go scouting for probable(undecideds) votes before first securing his likely votes in his base(liberals) right? In what world is that a recipe for victory? That Hillary failed at that wasn't apparent enough to you

If you have a fascist opponent like Trump, you don't need to worry much about your liberal base cos they will show up. If the GOP present a moderate candidate next time, then you can worry about your base. Right now, the GOP is so extreme that the winning formula for Dems is to claim the centre, not mirror the GOP, simple.

150 million people voted this election. How many are registered party members for Dems and GOP? Subtract that from 150m, that should tell you roughly the size of the undecided (uncommitted/Independent) pie. It's not a number to be sniffed at. It's political naivety to ignore what may appeal to that demographic. They are in that demographic because they don't have strong or extreme beliefs or don't care enough. That's what you need to win in an election.

the next Republican opponent most likely won't be trumpist or fascist, what do you suggest the democratic party do then given all we have discussed?
