Thanks.
the block work had already been plastered very well with rough surface to receive tiles.
Yes, there is leftover plaster sand on site.

write2obi:

*Is the block work neat and straight? Or is the tiler supposed to use mortar to correct errors from your bricklayer? grin
*Can you get plaster sand to your site? This can save you several bags of cement.
1bag per +-12 Sqm of tiles is ok

Goodmorning everyone. I am a newbie in this section and would want to seek clarification on this issue.

My family is building a story building of four flats of 3 bedrooms each. We are at the decking stage now. However, the supervisor handling it is advising us to use 10mm steel rods for this decking as this steel rod is stronger than 12mm rod and can carry the weight comfortably. This is different from what I know with my little building knowledge.
So I decided to come here to seek expert opinion on this.

Thankyou for expected comments as I know I d definitely get the best advice here.

Thanks.

1) If you’re into DIY, it’s very easy. If plumbing is there already it’s 10 minutes to put the filter in.

2) Its cheap but I’ll get back to you on the price. Maybe N5K?

3) I don’t drink the borehole water but use it for tooth brushing without swallowing. For me to drink it then I’ll have to invest in more beefy filtration system.

The biggest benefit for me is that it reduces junk from getting to my faucets.

The complete kit is N2,700 and comes with a regular white filter. The black filters I use are N600

Thank you.
The pictures address the question I was going to ask.

Unscrew the brimix shower from the pipe. If water is flowing directly from the pipe then the brimix is blocked with something. Clean it up and reinstall. Also Checked if they have adjustable opening.
Thanks will give this a try.

The bolded is not true unless the 12mm is local while the 10mm is the imported brand. For your slab please use 12mm as against your supervisor suggestion of 10mm bars.

Madam, then this could be one of the most conclusive examples of "Case Closed" on this thread.

Remember, the Supervisor works for you, not the other way round.

Good luck.

Concrete nail is used for pop work.
If you bought the pop cement and fillax then you are responsible for buying the nails.
But if otherwise, they are responsible for buying the nails.

When I bought granite in Port Harcourt from Chinese people, they displayed their meter outside.

So you get to weigh your truck before loading, infact, they will tell the driver to disembark.

Then they weight it after loading. And you pay what you see on the meter.

Easy peasy.

I paid 20,000 transport for a 30 ton truck. I was in awe.
Port-Harcourt pick Granite from Calabar no Quarry in PH.

Transportation cost from Calabar is over 170k for 30tons

Beware of anyone who tells you that 10mm is stronger than 12mm!
All things being equal, 12mm will always be stronger than 10mm.
All Decking drawing l have seen, have specified 12mm rods.
Supervisor will be gone, you and your tenants will have to live on and under that 10mm Decking, please do the needful. undecided

I am not a plumber but I am going to suggest you engage the service of a plumber. The Picture one did not give room for one to bypass the filter if you decided for whatever reason e.g. lack of fund or filter availability or change of mind
picture B is what I have and it allow me to bypass the filter when my madam decided she preferred bottle water to the filtration . it is just a matter off pulling up A and closing up B and C
