If nor be laziness, the land is south can cultivate the food that is been brought from the North. Our youth don't want to go into agriculture, even in large scale. Truth be told we don't have good land down in the south again because of oil pollution. All our land are been sold out for residential uses because of greed by this our youth. Do we still have large expance of land for mechanised agricultural framing? Even the little farming we are engaging in, their livestock will still come to destroy it. Unless we go back to farming, we will still depends on the North for now for food. |

Donspicey: As in eh! Our parents had gardens at the backyard where they planted pepper, okro, ugu, spinach, etc. Varieties of trees in our compound like coconut, mango, guava, pear, avocado, orange etc. Every meal is fresh from farm. Cassava processing into Garri was fun, we reared local fowl and every Sunday we pick one for sunday ofe akwu stew from backyard plucked palm nuts. We slaughter our local goats every Christmas. North offers nothing that we don't have. Let them carry out the threat, let's see who will suffer. Are their tomatoes and onions for Free? 4 Likes 2 Shares |

We the southwest need to do the necessary o........these northerners are planning something huge with these their body language......we can easily feed ourselves in the southwest if we invest more in agriculture...... Lagos should invest in open fishing, vegetables and coconuts ogun should invest in poultry, ofada rice, cassava and fishing oyo should invest in cattles, goats, pigs, poultry, pepper and vegetables , especially onions ...although the onions might not be big as the ones from the north.... Osun should invest in vegetables( especially peppers, yam, cocoyam ,cassava, cattles, goats ondo and ekiti should invest in fishing, snails, cocoa, yam, vegetables, palm oil the north can go to hell......as a matter of fact. Oyo ,ogun and osun state can feed the entire southwest if we seriously invest in agriculture......we have done it in the past....during western region. And we can still do it again,,,,,, make we let some nama to dey do shakara for us 2 Likes |
