The Ministry of Justice has proposed N2 billion to cover its legal services for the 2021 fiscal year, an amount the solicitor-general of the federation, Dayo Apata, described as small when compared to what it is meant to do.
.
The legal services include civil litigation, prison decongestion, trial and prosecution of Boko Haram criminals, administration of criminal justice system and payment for international legal obligations, he disclosed. Of the N2 billion, about N350 million was budgeted for the trial and prosecution of Boko Haram criminals.
.
Mr Apata appeared before the Senate committee on judiciary, legal and human rights matters, on Monday, to defend the ministry’s 2021 budget proposal. He was in the company of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami.
.
The panel had queried the duo for duplication of items in the budget submitted.Ajibola Basiru, the Senate spokesperson and member of the panel, noted that some line items listed under overhead cost also appeared in the capital budget. He also said the proposed N2 billion legal services is not definitive enough to avail auditors at the committee the purpose of exercising oversight functions.

No need for that-BH members should be dispatched to the other side. They are not worthy of any #2B procedural expenses.

It's small because they want to loot it. If they were actually using that money to fight Boko Haram as intended then it will be more than enough.

You shoot unarmed peaceful protesters dead, without a fair hearing or dialogue. But spend millions to prosecute boko haram terrorists who are meant to be shot at sight.
ASUU have been demanding 1.3 trillion naira for all the public universities in Nigeria, a demand that has been on over the years and which was meant to be paid in installments over 5 years. But the govt quickly approved 1.1 trillion just to rebuild lagos because of the end sars riot.
Nigerian youths, this country don't have us in mind. The earlier we know this the better.

What results have Nigeria achieved with billions spent fighting BH?

Peaceful country like Nigeria in the 90s, now we are 2nd most terrorists driven nation in the world. Fear North.

John Terry's and Rio Ferdinand's defending Buhari and this Government,

Why should Soldiers even shoot the so-called warning bullets?
Why did the Soldiers come to the ground?
Is it a crime under the National law for Youths to Protest, if Not, then why sending the army to the ground?
Even if it was 1 person that died, that's enough to punish whoever gave the command.

Bee's even have better hearts than some Nigerians, because, in the Bee colony, a wound of one is a call for war and action.

How many Boko Haram members have they successfully prosecuted and convicted all these years?
Budget being allocated for that year in, year out and nothing to show for that.
This I believe is why Boko Haram may never end because it is business for the elites over there.
Now they are fighting on increasing the amount maybe to accommodate the current increase in cost of living due to their useless and mindless policies.

If it was innocent young Nigerians that are peacefully protesting against police brutality and bad governance now, you lots will show your muscle. Usele.ss and seamless leaders. Your generations to come will pay for all the crimes you committed against we young Nigerians.
