Good day my big oga's in the house.please I need advice from you guys.
I invested in tbills in 3 different occasions. 4.5m, 800k and 920k. I needed to open a phone and accessories shop so I approached my bank in January to cancel my tbills of 4.5m which was to expire Sept. this year but the guy I approached adviced me to apply for loan of like 1.5 but I refused and instead went for just 1m loan.with my tbills cert.of 4.5m.The problem now is other tbills expired before September and they all dropped into my account except the 4.5m so I paid back the 1m into the acc. he opened for me and asked him that I needed my 4.5m to reflect in my account as it did not drop like others.
My brothers and sisters, this guy keeps giving me different excuses till now. Should I go strait to his manager or still wait?.
He was even begging me to continue using the loan even if my money appears since the interest is low but I told him I needed my money to reflect first.

You need to expose him. Go to the banks Twitter page and post on their wall so everyone can see it. Also, quote CBN.

I think the guy has invested your money elsewhere, using your money to make profit. He's supposed to pay back with interest.

You pledged the face value of the 4.5m Tbill to the bank when you took the loan. It cannot reflect in your account na until you have repaid the entire loan with interests and all fees. Go and read the loan documents again. I hope you signed one sha.

The guy was probably begging you because of his KPIs. Guy man dey try meet targets. It’s not easy for those guys.

Same way my Account officer almost destroyed my plans in Feb. I wanted to liquidate my TB, dude kept posting me, we were on it for almost 1 month, his excuse was "1M is too small to liquidate". He advised I take a loan of 300k and use TB certificate as Col.. Ok fine, i will take the loan. The Loan process took another 2 weeks as he keeps sending unending forms to me to fill and submit back to him (He always replied late and the last time, he told me he was on leave till following week).

Out of depression and annoyance, i wrote the bank myself, stating exactly what happened.

Guess what?

My account officer CALLED ME(PHONE CALL) the second day and asked if he should proceed liquidating my TB. I was shocked.

I got credit alert the same day.

I have paid back the loan since mid September with interest and even extra 2k ontop.
He was the one that told me it will take less than a week for my money to reflect and told me he would like me to be using the loan without tbills collataral, that he will vouch for me but I declined that my money will be enough for me.

First bank.
2 percent interest every month as long as I leave
one 6th of the total money withdrawn in the account every 25th of the month.i was given a visa card with the money in it and I never defaulted for once and they even debited me 5k for insurance which I did not ask to be returned.the one million has been in the account untouched since mid sept.i even added about 2k ontop for them.
I only signed the documents which he kept.i don't have any with me.

If you have fully repaid the loans, then there’s no reason why they should be holding on to the 4.5m. You should go and speak with his manager. If the bank is the one still holding on to the money, they should pay you interest for the additional months (September till whenever it hits your account). Make sure to mention this to them.

But what is the loan tenor? It’s possible that the loan is still running in their system. Maybe it’s a one year loan. You need to know the terms of this loan. It’s very strange that the guy didn’t give you a copy sha.

He did not give me any copy.
The loan is meant to run for 3 years but I clearly told him I won't need it beyond September and he said I can cancel it then.
It's a visa card that will expire the year 2023.
I signed and he called me to come and collect the visa card that came with the money in it and he activated it via ATM

Well, you may have to formally cancel in writing to get back your money.
The prepayment/cancellation process is stated in the loan documents. Ask the guy (or his manager) for a copy of your loan documents or better still just tell them you want to cancel the loan and get your money ASAP. If you can’t get a hold of them, then call/email their head office or customer care folks. You can also go to the office you signed the loan documents in to speak with them.

He called me to come and official write for it to be cancelled 2 weeks ago at a branch that was very far from me,I then told him to write on my behalf and sign with my initials which he called me back to tell me it was done that it was just a matter of days.
This is 2 weeks ago.
I even tried withrawing from the loan account October ending and discovered that it has already been blocked with the complete money in it.
They blocked it and still held mine.this is just plain wickedness.

Is it possible for a bank worker to sign on a customer's behalf? Not sure of that.
Send email to firstcontact... Google their email and ask why your tb has not been paid to you. Do that this night, it takes about 2 days for them to respond so the earlier the better. I suggest you talk about your TB and not the loan as I want to believe the 2 transactions are separate from each other, if they are not let them be the ones to tell you how they are related.

I have googled cbn and first contact email.i will send a mail tonight.
I am really disappointed in that guy.i trusted him and made all my transactions go through him and tipped him alot as my account officer.
I trusted him to the extend that I will call and ask him to transfer money to someone and he will do without me coming to the bank to sign.
Well, life itself is a lesson and I have learnt more.

Account officers are not supposed to be your friend, always keep the relationship official. God forbid you die or he even kee u das how he will transfer the money to his account.
