Some were unable to leave either because of weakness or inability to locate their homeland. Those that remained were adopted by many communities in Ikwerre land. Though there is this segregation and resentment about them till date. Those whose ancestors are Aros always want to be identified as Igbos and every Ikwerre as Igbos to close that gap of discrimination.
Amaechi married an Igbo lady. He may claim Igbo by marriage. There is need also to investigate his family background.
In Ikwerre land we call Igbos Isuoma. This is a class difference between the Diali and the Igbos.
