Stormtrooper11: Had he return from injury for ROhr to call him, Beside IWOBI need endurance, and conditional training asap, his constant tiring out, just after 45, or so minutes Should be a serious cause for concern, my two Naira options 1 Like |

Karlovich: Against Algeria and Tunisia he kept the natural midfielders on the bench while Ajayi is floundering all over the field. Again , he ignored our two best available DM/CM and played a combination of Etebo and Aribo against a west African side. I love Karo like kilode for his hardworking and passion but he is not a DM. Aribo had his real test and we can see the result. Where did he keep Tijani and Agu ? 1 Like |

Friends, countrymen, Nairalanders.... I wish I could say I told you so but it hurts to even do that. The handwriting has always been on the wall. We only chose to ignore it. We played 2 major friendlies with african powerhouses and our gaffer chose to be experimenting players in awkward positions. We know that the strength of any team is in its midfield. We know these things. What hurts is we did nada concerning it ever since the 2-0 loss to South Africa in Uyo. At the end of it all, we were screaming about what league a player is from? What has a player done to merit a call up. Ok na! The ones that really merited it, what changed in our outcome? What coach pampers mediocrity in the name of man management? How did we lose a 4 goal lead? What was the back up plan when all else fail? Why carve out a position for a new player to play in just so as to make him feel at home? If it worked in training, does it mean it will always work in match situations? I even hear people say we underrated thw opposition. There is no crime in doin that as we are miles and lightyears ahead. Question is when we were 4-2 up, what was the technical crew thinking? Well it has happened.... Maybe we will learn, maybe we will wait until it gets really costly like a loss of qualification ticket. But i sure as hell hope not and I do hope we do the right thing before its too late 1 Like |

Karlovich:What are you even saying? I said there were options Rohr should have called up to strengthen our Midfield. .he only came with 3 MFs. I gave you options but you said NO. Oya list out your quality and active MFs, you twisted it to Aribo comparison. .how does that correlate? |

do4luv14: The day Iwobi gets injured we will realize we need other play makers like nwobodo of Gotzepe. We simply have no options for him right now. Instead of us to make do with what we have we will beg eberechi eze till kingdom come. Rohr is a very funny coach. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Philosopher1979: 8:28am On Nov 14, 2020 |
smartsmith0907: Here we go again. Dessers or Simmy Nwankwo should be called to replace Osimhen as they are more experienced than him. Maja is still inexperienced for an important game like that. Then Mikel Agu should be invited to shore up our midfield. Even nwobodo in case iwobi gets injured. Rohr is not a good coach. He is just average and good in man management |

Philosopher1979: i understand your plight but the above players you mention are not on the standby list ....simy will still perform like onuachu....and maja is still a little bit better than desser he should be able to pull up a great shift...concerning the injury of balogun ....we might be having azzez coming in for him.. let's just expect a great match in sierra Leone. |

IDENNAA:if Osimhen's injury is not a serious one, and he miraculously recovers, i'm very sure we will beat them, that's if the defence and midfield don't go to sleep this time.... But if we have onuachu up there, forget it, the best we can do is a draw because we can't outscore them 1 Like |

JohnBullMySon: This is very possible... If you know osimhen very well, you would know that the lad always takes his health seriously.... if he suffers a minor scratch on the field of play and he is uncertain how bad it is, he always makes it look serious so he can be substituted and checked out properly... |
