Yinka Odumakin, National Publicity Secretary of pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has described Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, as a man without conscience for justifying his principal’s handling of the #EndSARS protests which allegedly resulted in the deaths of some youths.

Adesina in his weekly article titled ‘‘We Have Not Many Fathers”, said the #EndSARS protests would have snowballed into a state of “crimson, mourning and lamentation”, if not for the “restraint and tolerance” exercised by President Buhari.

However, speaking in an interview with INDEPENDENT, Odumakin who described the write-up as ‘unfortunate’, said he was appalled that Adesina, who is an elder in Foursquare Gospel Church, could utter such as words as ‘father’ despite the fact that youths were killed in Tollgate area of Lagos, Abuja and other parts of the country.

He said: “Femi (Adesina) was not aware of the number of young people who were killed across the country? The ones killed in Lekki Toll Gate and the ones the thugs attacked in Abuja? Femi is a father, he has children. Other people’s children have been killed this way and he was writing that kind of thing saying the situation could have worsened if President Buhari had rolled out the tanks.

“He should know that there is God because he is the son of a reverend. To say this man will wake up in the morning and go on his knees and say ‘My Lord, My Father’. God cannot be mocked. Femi is an elder in Foursquare church. How does he sleep at night?".

“I know that lie was what they were trying to sell when they had their afterthought summit in South-South and South-East. After that, they held their Kaduna meeting and we kicked against it. They now had an afterthought and asked the Kaduna delegates, the Chief of Staff and IGP to go to the South-East. They were in South-West last Sunday.

“They will be in South-South next week. When you look at the communiqués that were issued from those meetings, they mandated the governors to put it there that they commended Buhari for the way he ended the #EndSARS crisis.”

I must declare that Femi is absolutely crazy for putting up a defence on this issue. Buhari was terribly inept and stewpid considering his handling of EndSars.
A president that could not deliberate with the citizenry till the campaign almost consumed the nation is absolutely inept
