Etrusen: These are the kind of things I want to start hearing from Southern governors and politicians. I've sat down and analyzed Nigeria issues and I've come to the conclusion the North isn't as powerful as we always want to believe, it's the docile nature of our politicians that's empowering them. If not the old men in Afenifere, Ohaneze and Pandef that have been speaking up against the North's excesses, the situation would've been far worse. 1 Like |

Sarmiz24: The SS needs to come together to make these demands and stand by them. The only power holding nigeria together is the armed forces, once the armed forces are defeated, nothing the federal gov can do again. That's why I strongly support the southerners to arm their people. The west have OPC, Amotekun. SS have different militant fractions, they should come together and stand as one to claim what belongs to them, while the East should form their own defense network, cause at this point, its mostly the northerners that are opposed to secession. 3 Likes |

ubyways: This doesn't change the fact that the SS governors are lying, Zamfara is not mining gold or in control of gold in Zamfara. The question you should be asking is why are the SS governors not investing in oil and oil related businesses If Zamfara can invest in gold, SS can invest in oil too or even go to Zamfara to invest in gold like they're doing in Zamfara. |

TheLionofLasigi: The day nigeria divides, the north would be on the same level with Afghanistan, Yemen and all those war torn Islamic country. They have nothing of value they provide to the rest of the country. GO check heads of NNPC, the ogas at APapa port, lagos air port and many federal institutions, its northerners that occupy 90% of those positions. Southern leaders are spineless. They need to have a secession plan and stick to it. Pastor Adeboye already prophesied that restructure nigeria now or risk break up. I honestly hope it was god that was speaking through him cause I know those northeners would opppose restructuring which would lead to the inevitable, it won't happen without a war. The south needs to be prepared. |

South-South Governors Meet Monday over Zamfara Gold NORTHERN NIGERIA SHOT THEMSELVES ON THE FOOT ECONOMICALLY. IF THEY HAD FOLLOWED THE ROAD MAP THAT WAS SET BY THEIR POST COLONIAL LEADER LATE SIR AHMADU BELLO THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN SELF SUFFICIENT IN AGRICULTURE. Late Sir Ahmadu Bello was never interested in the prime minister job as he prefered being in the north to develop his northern people hence he sent Late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa to come to Lagos to take up the prime minister job. They derailed and clinged for so long on southern resources. Now Boko Haram is troubling them and they are taking insult from the south all because of crude oil money. WITH ALL THE CRUDE OIL MONEY THE NORTH GOT FROM THE SOUTH THROUGH FEDERAL ALLOCATIONS ALL THESE YEARS. One expect them to fall back on their own economy in the north but they still want to clinged to southern resources. But for how long? Everyday the north is intimidated with calls for restructuring. This is because northern political leaders are very lazy. They are prepared to wait for crude oil money even if it is ONE KOBO that the federal government allocates to them. 1 Like |

You now agree that a road was built. Has Kaduna to Kano road not fallen into a state of disrepair too. Sam's with Lagos-Abeokuta,Ibadan-Ife'Ilesha, Ibadan-Oyo expressway all built by Obassnjo govt. I forgot to add Benin to Asaba expressway.Buhari is in his 6th year as President, tell me any road project he has completed. At this run rate he can not meet up with what Obasanjo did in road construction. NGpatriot: |

It is because FG is taking 50 percent of revenue accruing so they should be held more accountable.[Iquote author=NGpatriot post=96037350] The average Nigerian think the FG is responsible for the bad road in front of their house including their bad schools, bad hospitals and so on, it's as if their useless governors and local officials doesn't exist even thought these lazy and corrupt governors collect taxes and allocations every month to take care of them, to build roads, schools, hospitals, basic welfare and amenities. The so called leaders of tomorrow in Nigeria are mostly clueless, many are lazy thinkers and grossly pedestrian mentally. [/quote] |

NGpatriot:ofcourse, I don't expect you to attest to the fact SS can't get the necessary development because they don't have control over their God given natural resources. If Zamfara didn't have control of gold, a whole governor won't call a meeting make this the agenda for discussion. You can't tell me you have a first hand information concerning this situation that a governor. |

Regionalism made western Nigeria to be ahead of some European countries in development. Many of the roads built by Awolowo are still standing well today. Meanwhile the ones built by FG have virtually collapsed. Example is Ibadan-Ife road. Check the single carriage section built by Western region still standing strong and the one built by FG in the 90s expanding to dual carriage way is an eyesore. NGpatriot: |

GidiCars: Really if Nigeria divides today almost all regions will suffer in one way or the other, and I wouldn't say that the north contributes nothing to the Nigerian economy, in terms of agriculture they're practically feeding Nigeria but their leaders have failed to see the opportunity that agriculture presents and would rather interest themselves with SS oil, Boko Haram is currently collecting fees from farmers before they can harvest and their leaders are busy worried about EndSARs people, those guys in the past built groundnut pyramids and partly fuelled the Nigerian economy with agriculture, their leaders greed for power and extremist beliefs makes them fail to understand that they would be the biggest beneficiaries if Nigeria is restructured today...southern leaders on the other hand are no even better.... obasanjo spent 8 years in power but nothing really noteable was done in his region of origin. Southern leaders are just self centered fools 1 Like |

When oil was first discovered in Oloibiri, which is in Bayelsa State, the Federal Government assumed 100% ownership immediately. They WERE NOT allowed to mine their oil resources, they were not given State license to drill the oil or own oil blocs. If they do it, the FG calls it illegal bunkering and sends the army to shut it down. But gold is discovered in Zamfara, and the State was allowed to mine their gold INDEPENDENTLY. It was Zamfara govt that mined the gold, not Federal Government. Then they took the gold to Abuja to do photoshoot with Buhari, and then CBN would pay for the gold to support the local gold mining initiative. I swear, Southern political elites are the biggest fools in Nigeria. You give up your bread to Nigeria to collect crumbs. But everything the North is giving Nigeria, WE PAY FOR IT. Is it the Cow meat, we pay. Is it agriculture, we pay. Is it land, we pay. Is it minerals, we pay. Tell me one resources that the North puts on the table free of charge for all Nigerians to benefit from as a national cake. Just one. Mtchwwwww! 1 Like |
