loll ofcourse Ozil was better, it's not a disrespect but a reminded of how good Mata was. Many now have forgotten how good Ozil was, for germany and arsenal even though his work rate and ethic on the pitch was poor but he was able to bench the mighty kaka in a Mourinho team that loves defensive minded players.

Ha beg stop comparing Zeus to Medusa. Ozil and Mata nor be mate. According to transfermarkt Ozil provided 15+ league assists in straight 5 seasons from Bremen to Madrid. Ozil na beast jor. It's a shame he didn't have the work rate to match his talent.

One of the issues Ozil has struggled with is adapting to the evolution of the game especially with style, formation/ tactics tweaks. We went from AM/CM being the only ball playing players to now ball playing goalkeepers, defenders and even strikers who start attack from the back. That almost diminishes the role of that traditional 10.

He did really well after he joined the EPL, I mean the numbers speak for themselves but the more the game evolved in terms of intensity, especially with the press, the more it became difficult for him to catch up.
