R9 is football legend, but Injury recked his awesome football career. I don't subscribe to the idea that R9 or CR7 or any other great is better than Messi because they played for different teams. If Aguero, David Silva, Torres, Fabregas and others before them left Spain to England and still dominated, then Messi would have totally shattered all the records in the EPL in his prime. Imagine Messi playing for this Manchester City team or Manchester United's team in 2008...

Talking about inspiring national teams to victory, I don't know if you actively followed football in 2002 because that Brazilian team was mad. People just overrate the Argentine national team because of their big name attackers but easily forget that Argentina has a shit midfield and defense...I will take the current Portuguese team a billion times over Argentina...

I remember Robinho counting his legovers in La liga making players like Puyol eat grass everytime they meet, he came to Mancity and EPL overwhelmed him.
