Counter your points? The goals, assists, individual honors and trophies I mentioned are what then?

They're stats ofcourse

Fraudulent stats accrued all through his stay at Barcelona while he was busy faking his retirements and making empty promises upandan undecided

The strange thing is....Your Messi is only just a Barca Legend tongue tongue tongue

And even if he ends up winning the World cup...it will never mean shii to me...FIFA actually wish they gifted him the World cup ...but the world is watching angry

But I wanna ask you just one question

Do you think Messi is a fraudulent hypocrite?

Answer honestly grin

Ok for the Pele and Maradona crooners on this thread grin

Rumour has it that a bulk of Pele's one thousand goals that stood in those days would be regarded as offside goals in the kinda footy that is being played in this age

Pele and Maradona were both strong and energetic ....no doubt ...but the plenty offside goals wey one use pad him stats nkor

We need to set up a Committee headed by Oga Afrodoc to review this grin grin grin

This does not make sense.

I'm a bit young so for Spain I can only point out Zubizarreta, Casillas, De Gea, Valdes, Reina and Canizares.

But Germany you have Maier, Kahn, Lehmann, Neuer, MATS, Leno, Butt, Weidenfeller etc etc

There is nothing great about Valdes, Reina Canizares they would just be like Leno or Weidenfeller

Germany and Italy are for keepers

I was just mentioning the good ones, maybe to help back up his claim.

I personally wouldn't have gone beyond Zubi DDG and Casillas.

Toldo was so underrated during his time. His era had the best hands for Italy and the competition was tough.

Let's not lie or steal i no too rate Zubizarreta like that.

Historically one has to put Zamora and Ramallets but i never watched them. Arconada and Zubizarreta were okay. Casillas is the only one.

Spain produces one good keeper at a time while Italy and Germany produce multiple good keepers at the same time which means the keepers end up cannibalizing each other's international career.

I was just saying it. Zoff and Albertosi were cannibalizing each other. The same way Clements and Shilton did for England.

The ultimate cannibalization was Pagliuca cannibalizing Zenga only to be cannibalized by Peruzzi whose career was now cannibalized by a combination of Buffon and Toldo. The person that suffered the most was Marchegianni who was at best no 4 in Italy when he would have been no1 in most other countries and he was the only one who was never a starter in a tournament.

You are absolutely right about it.
The more difficult aspect of it was that they had such a long career in their prime, even the best Italian heads from Sacchi to Zoff to Trapattoni to Lippi.. None of them had it easy making goalkeeping decisions.

Toldo was criminally cannibalized by a young Buffon whose reflexes was out of this world at that time. Don’t forget Abbiati was also in that mix and both goalies were dominant for their clubs.

6 ballon d'ors....I don't even rate players based on that political crap
Watch the game and see for yourself what's real ok

And if you wanna go by the logic of ballon d'crap ...am sure someone here earlier raised the modric in comparison to the likes of xavi, Iniesta and co issue but y'all conveniently dodged it abi

Let me retweet it

Is modric better than Xavi or iniesta or Pirlo because Modric has ballon d'crap and they have none?

I know say na JAMB question but try cheesy cheesy
Modric scores, passes like Pirlo does, assists, has ball control, dribbles what exactly does Xavi do better than Pirlo or Modric is it play 1 million passes, or what exactly does iniesta do better is dancing with the ball so that messi can score.

Abbiati dey unstable so i won't place him on that level. Great one week, awful the next. He and Dida were exchanging no1 shirt like baton. Not that Dida was stable himself o.

We actually went for Grealish but Aston Villa slammed a 80 million pound price tag on him. There is no way through club will pay 80 million for Grealish and you know that.

There is no body in the first team that VDB can "glaringly" bench. His time will come and when it does, he has to show the fans and the coach that he can offer better than the other midfielders are currently offering.
and now grealish has increased his contract to like 5 more years at Aston Villa. That £80m fit no dey bargain again cheesy but £50 or £60m would have done the deal then

Grealish signing that contract shows how unambitious he is. If he didn't sign that contract, he would have been a Man Utd player by next summer

Even if Man Utd didn't come thru, other top 6 EPL team will definitely come thru. But nigga decided to tie himself to a team that are one bad season away from getting relegated like most mid table teams.
lol so he should have refused more pay so united can buy him cheaper and put him on their bench cheesy

To him his value would only go up and anything that comes for will definitely value him and not bench him like VDB, Ighalo and the rest

Abbiati struggled with a lot of injuries, he was so unlucky with them and that affected his ability to hold down a number one. He was quite good and had a very good fist.
I remember Dida’s howler against Leeds in the UCL.. I would tell you he was a good PK stopper!

Anyone saying la Liga is a shit league is obviously ignorant.

Most UCLs and Europa leagues, better head-to-head against EPL teams and boasting of the best players in the history of the game.

Ronaldo's goal tally increased in la liga because of two issues:

1. He started playing with better creative players, Ozil, Alonso, Di Maria, Marcelo, benzema etc.

2. He started playing further forward

You want proof? Ronaldo's goal tally also increased substantially in the Champions league. Or is it la liga defenders that are in champions league to?

You can cry all you want but Messi's status as the best of the best is practically cemented.

Why was he not hitting the 40-50 goal marks steady in England as he was doing in Madrid, note, Cr7 role shifted from be a midfielder in 442 formation to a right wing forward RWF in his latter years in the United shirt, so spare me your long sermon about playin auxiliary foward or locomotive inverting forward, the facts still remain out of all the leagues Cr7 played in Laliga was the easiest for him in terms of goal scoring. His game to goal ratio solidify my argument, even after leaving the league in two years he his still the only player with the record highest hatricks, whilst playing there in just 9 years.

As for playing with better players, i should be made to believe that, Van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Scholes, Giggs, Vidic, Evra, Berbatov, Ferdinard, Roy Keane, a team with the likes of Diego Forlan, Saha, Tevez, on the benchwere inferior, a team that won 3 epl on a roll, and a back to back Champions league finalist before leaving were filled inferior to Real Madrid team?

You have no case! The Spanish Laliga is a league with lower quality in defence, were you can be scoring 40 goals per season for 6 years, without go slow or holdup. It maybe the best league (due to the Barca and Real factors), but it's never the most competitive league in the world. Even Ibramovic confessed to the competitiveness and rigor of the Ep when he had like 10 games goal drought in the league.

@ your last statement, maybe cemented in Camp nou because outside there, even in his hometown he is just a one of Argentine good forward with nice stats which 60% are from friendlies, Barcelona club legend, i reckon but greatest ever, even Messi be angry at you, for such fallacious statement.

Woe to Bartholomew, I'm eager for Messi to come and destroy the Epl grin

The only way to know if Messi will perform outside La Liga is for Messi to leave LA Liga.
I sincerely don't blame whoever thinks Messi will not perform outside La Liga because he has been abysmal in the national team. That might be a strong determinant.

Absymal for his national team? Wow

Very good answer. Some people’s understanding of how football works is amazing.

18yr old boy coming from different continent and they are already lamenting over his playing time 2 months into the season. Someone that might not see senior playing time for 2 yrs or more, if at all.

Antoni Ramallets, Ricardo Zamora, Luis Arconada, Jose Angel Iriba, Paco Buyo and many others are all great Spanish Goalkeepers.

Remove Valdez and Reina from your list, those ones are disgraces to Spanish goalkeepers.

I agree that Germany may have an edge over Spain when it comes to goalkeepers though.
