Updated to miui 12 on redmi note 7... I didn't get the new display whenever I swipe down
Go activate it in your phone settings.

You can use the search bar on the settings page and search for "control center"
Then activate

Hi guys, after updating to the new update. I use full display but can't swap to previous apps like before. It just goes back when I swipe back instead of going to previous apps like before. angry I use Note 7

1. Activate this if you didn't.
2. Do as directed. Swipe left or right and hold for a while.

Scroll down.

The swipe to previous app has been switched. If you swipe the bar at the bottom of the display it'll take you to past apps and you can use it to access all apps in recent unlike the MiUI 11 version that only let you switch between 2 apps.

Weak me man. When did screen resolution become display type? Maybe 8K resolution is CRT AMOLED MiniLED TFT Display.

The pill at the bottom is not as effective and fast as the side swipe navigation on MIUI 11. It's annoying.

I wish they can bring it back . I don't like this pill at all.

I remember their complaints about its absence. They don't know what awaits them.

It's nothing close to what's on Pixel or iOS

He probably has a PhD in studying display types. He's very sure about the layman stuff. The dullest people in tech wouldn't say that. Humility is key. "A student is not greater than his teacher, but a student who studies well can be like his teacher." - Jesus christ

I prefer Xiaomi sticks to their way than trying to import most things from stock android.

Thief gestures were so good that android had to copy it. Sometimes they can have skoi skoi in their head, if it is not broken don't fix it.

Exactly, some of Xiaomi's gestures were copied by even Google. I don't know why they had to bring Google's pill navigation. That of Xiaomi was already perfect, now this pill has broken the navigation, and it's frustrating.

That's how they are trying to shove Google apps down our throats, when I love the slickness and intuitiveness of Mi apps like SMS, contacts, calendar, etc.

Make una find it in una heart to forgive me.

But still have a question not relating to display type

If FHD has twice more pixels that HD does it mean it consumes twice more battery?? According to your genius brother here wink
