The Great Sphinx Egypt (Dated PRE-HISTORY)

In 1787, Count Constantine de Volney—a French nobleman, philosopher, historian, orientalist, and politician—embarked on a journey to the East in late 1782 and reached Ottoman Egypt were he spent nearly seven months.

Constantine de Volney was troubled much by the institution of slavery. His expressed opinion that the ancient Egyptians were black Africans much departed from the typical European view of the late eighteenth century, but it gave many people cause for reflection.

During his visit to Egypt he expressed amazement that the Egyptians – whose civilization was greatly admired in Europe – were not White!

"All the Egyptians," wrote de Volney, "have a bloated face, puffed-up eyes, flat nose, thick lips – in a word, the true face of the mulatto. I was tempted to attribute it to the climate, but when I visited the Sphinx, its appearance gave me the key to the riddle. ON SEEING THAT HEAD, TYPICALLY NEGRO IN ALL ITS FEATURES, I remembered the remarkable passage where Herodotus says: ' As for me, I judge the Colchians to be a colony of the Egyptians because, like them, they are black with woolly hair...'

"When I visited the Sphinx, I could not help thinking that the figure of that monster furnished the true solution to the enigma (of how the modern Egyptians came to have their 'mulatto' appearance) "In other words, the ancient Egyptians were true Negroes of the same type as all native-born Africans.

That being so, we can see how their blood, mixed for several centuries with that of the Greeks and Romans, must have lost the intensity of its original color, while retaining nonetheless the imprint of its original mold.

"Just think," de Volney declared incredulously, "that this race of Black men, today our slave and the object of our scorn, is the very race to which we owe our arts, sciences, and even the use of speech!

Just imagine, finally, that it is in the midst of people who call themselves the greatest friends of liberty and humanity that one has approved the most barbarous slavery, and questioned whether Black men have the same kind of intelligence as whites!"

In other words the ancient Egyptians were true Negroes of the same stock as all the autochthonous peoples of Africa and from the datum one sees how their race, after some centuries of mixing with the blood of Romans and Greeks, must have lost the full blackness of its original color but retained the impress of its original mould."

These white folks who invaded Egypt were so amazed by this statue of ancient black majesty that they had to knock off the flat nose to disguise its African features.

But their attempt at disguising it actually failed, because it is more than obvious that this was a brotha.

Some racist vandals have been on a mission to deform Egyptian status to confuse their black origin. Something Trump would do.

Notice how all the Hollywood movies depict the ancient Egyptians as white people?

Even the ancient Hebrews were blacks, but they still portray them as whites.

To the point even our own people believe their lies.

This world eh?

But God will put things right, one way or another.

In 18bc, the Kushite empire ( nubian) conquer Egypt.

Who are the nubians, they live in present day sudan and southern Egypt.

DNA testing is everything, and Dna samples of Pharoahs showed Levant heritage, kushite heritage, Mediterranean heritage and Middle-Eastern heritage.

Were ancient Egyptians black - No

Do we need to go to Egypt for that much craved validation? There were pyramids in present Enugu state. Ancient Igbo pyramids! I'm sure most igbos here don't even know! But from iron smelting, through the bronze culture to pyramids, the ancient igbos were not found wanting. The terrain in igboland never helped to preserve them but I wonder why Successive Enugu state governments have never thought of pouring billions into refurbishing these rare projects. I was at the Badaling section of the great Wall in 2005 and the Chinese people were busy, working with bare hands to refurbish the great Wall! Today, if you go there, you will think it never witnessed any rot. The Enugu pyramids could be a game changer for Nigerias tourism if skillfully harvested, together with the rock formations in Platue, the Obudu, Udi hills, Yankari and all those rock formations around Nigeria like the Zuma and Olumo rocks..

There was a period when black africans from present day Sudan were Pharaohs of Egypt, but they didn't last that long. Present day Egyptians have tried to erase that period from the history books. When you visit the main museum in Cairo, there's a record of all the dynasties of the rulers of Egypt....with the exception of the Nubian Pharaohs.

i know Ramses was black too. This fact that black people existed in Egypt is not a thing to argue. They have curly hair. Which is an evidence of black wooly hair heritage. The way we have been thought to erase black culture eh.

There was a time I had to bring down a mud house in my village, I dug out some pots full of cowries and stuffs. That was how my stupid brain that has been taught to tag black history with juju, took it and destroy it. Now anytime I remember that incidence, I say to my self WHat historical treasure I might I have destroyed because of the way I was brought up.

photographs ke. I didn't know what it was then, so I destroyed them, i now feel bad that I did it though, because I now know what it was, and how much value it holds in history. I blame my education for it.

I think all the common sense I know now is through reading and not schooling
