Vooom: Google or the school would be the best to check on this . Personally I dont know . I checked on open university as I know it is an online program and it states open university students dont qualify as it classified as "part time study "..... so I guess same will apply to you as you are working as well as school so the schooling would be part time https://www.gov.uk/council-tax/discounts-for-full-time-students |

erico2k2: Truly aproko dey everywhere ....... A friend of mine son at 3 years opened the front door when his mum was sleeping and started playing outside in the afternoon. The neighbor saw the child playing outside unsupervised. what would it have cost to knock on the mother door and alert the mum and maybe tell her to always lock the door and remove the key.... Instead neughbour called the police and it became wahala. 2 Likes |

Ask for Council tax exemption letter from your Uni and forward if you qualify. Some councils will ask for student ID and they will verify directly with the uni. Vooom: |

Vooom: My dear, Make sure you renew before you come. Then tie the two passports with band. Your brp is your visa not your passport. Even if the embassy here resumes, I doubt they will clear the backlog till that September- cos of their lackadaisical attitude to anything. As at October this year, they were still doing March April May June and July. By the time they open in January (if vaccine dey), they won’t even listen to you. |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Aphrodite007(f): 11:50am On Nov 18, 2020 |
iCode2: You’re meant to present both everytime you’re asked for your passport, until you get your brp. As soon as you get your brp, send a copy of your new passport to your employer and start using your new passport. |

Vooom: Nigerian rule states you can only renew your passport 6 months to expiration date . Meaning September can be renewed only from March. Whether they keep to that rule is another conversation , but since you are in Nigeria. You can easily check if it can be renewed |

iCode2: I thought you had even applied for your visa. If you haven’t applied for your visa, renew your passport, then submit the visa application based on the new passport. Then you won’t even need to put rubber band to hold the two passports at the exit and entry, cos you’ll need to show just your most recent. |
