To me, maritally no woman has the right to undergo a family planning without first discussing with her husband just as a man doesn't have the right to do the same without discussing with the wife. Doing that would not only be inconsiderate but suspicious as well.
Being married means you don't get to decide something that affects your spouse alone, unless you are ready to risk your marriage. That's why it's very important to discuss things like the number of children you'd like to have and the number of years you want between each before getting married. After all it's called Family Planning.

What's your take on this? Do you think a spouse be it a wife or husband has a right to undergo family planning without discussing with the other party?

Some women don't think, what if the husband need 1 kids? Wgo will impregnate her, ain't it the husband?

The kind of women this days is a call for eye shining when choosing a wife.

In an ideal marriage, it definitely should be discussed. The problem is that most marriages of nowadays are not based on the normal principles.

I know a woman who is not legally married but traditionally married and did family planning after her first child making up her mind that she won't have another child without legalizing her marriage. The husband was not aware and wanted another child badly.

It is a debate like buying property without the knowledge of one' a spouse or having secret savings. It is wrong on paper but in practise, it might make sense.

Some husbands want many children but don't want to cater for them. It is left for the woman to take control of generating offspring.

Understandable for wanting to make it legal before having another child but she should have discussed her misgivings with the husband. What if waiting for him to legalize it on his own time gives off a wrong info that she couldn't conceive anymore and the husband's family pressure him into marrying another wife? A lot of things could go wrong when you make decisions like that.

And for the men who want to have lots of children without the means to cater for them, communication is also necessary, that's not saying the man must consent before she undergoes it but he should know.

In view of the chalant attitude employed by men on the issue and the fact that the woman are always on the receiving end and normally bear the brunt of care and welfare of children with the present economic woes. the woman does not need to discuss with her husband and take necessary steps to protect the overall interest of their marriage.

These things ought to be discussed and decided together as a couple, except you're married to or plan to marry your enemy.

Do what works for you woman. you know your husband. Tell him the first time and if he opposes. check these options

If you know your health says otherwise.
you know you are the breadwinner
you know he's a chronic cheat who may abandon you to fend for them alone.
he only regains sense after cumming.
His parents failed to train him.

In some critical situations the wife can go for family planning codedly if the husband refuse to see reasons to it.

I don't really see any big deal in this. Whether or not they inform each other before taking that decision shouldn't be a cause for concern if theyve finished having the agreed number of children. I mean.. it's not like the man would care much as all he cares about is to get sexual satisfaction from the wife after child bearing and not whether there's a family planning in place or not.

The only thing I have a problem with, is a woman taking in without the husbands consent and that is the only thing so far I've seen men react harshly to.


The number of children to be birthed should be agreed on and achieved. after which every one can do whatever they like with their bodies. To me its not a big deal.
