The characteristics noted by lugard are still happening today. The black race everywhere have no unity or ability to think about the future. The Indians are more disrespected than you know, they only use them when they are useful but to the US community at large, Indians are seen as gas station owners. The Chinese the same way, they are seen as really smart dudes but socially they are mocked. Nigerians in the USA are also hailed in certain sectors especially sport medicine and cultural schemes. Racism in America is beyond just whites, it's beyond just one nation, it is a mixture of conscious and unconscious bias. In fact, here in 9ja we are guilty of racism as well because tribalism is the offspring of racism. In the USA, you ask a black man are you african, he'll say no, I don't come from Africa, I'm African American, I'm Carribean, I'm Jamaican, they'll say anything to separate themselves from their true origin. This is what gives racism so much power, lack of identity and unity, a country like Nigeria cannot and will not bring unity when it is divided in itself. Can you expalin what unites us? Just seeing this, I changed it when I was in the university and about to graduate. So I started practicing aptitude tests in preparation for post-university life and mehn, I was shocked by the amount of math these tests had considering my discipline was largely non-math based. I practiced SHL, GMAT, McKinsey's PST, Saville, Workforce tests etc. Initially, I found them so hard considering the long years I touched a math material and current degree background. Additionally, during my mini investigation of fresh graduates in the job market where I worked after university, I discovered that the obstacle was not poor grades (I met persons with excellent grades who could not go to the next stage due to failing aptitude tests), course of study (largely unconsidered these days due to varied nature of entry-level jobs) or university (although it affects some but mostly unimportant provided other criteria are fulfilled), so I believed it was very important that current university students need to learn mathematics, at least the very basics. I did it as I had to go back to study mathematics from junior secondary school to senior secondary to grasp a fair understanding of the subject.

Although, I did not state it but I agree with you that Korea & Japan issues differ from racial discrimination but it is still a form of discrimination. maybe you don't understand, here is the simple summary about is write up. A country who have a rich economy have a substantial for it's citizen. Even if a citizen of such country travels to other countries, they are catered for because of the valuable contributions they have globally. Where a Usa or Japanese passport will get me is different from the one Nigeria will get me to and not to even to talk about the power of their currency. Regarding your statement about the most populated black nation being rich, well, that will be good but this is a game of numbers. The entire Sub-Saharan African countries need to be at least middle class like the Malaysians or as rich as the Singaporeans for a noticeable difference to be made. Foreign airlines disabuse Nigerian passengers, send the most derelict of aircrafts, horrible service etc. Do you think they can try that to the Chinese who constitute a huge proportion of global travellers? Look at the D&G example, how many Nigerians can afford original luxury goods?

A Chinese official posted a photoshopped picture of an Australian security personnel killing an Afghan, the Prime Minister of Australia demanded an apology which the Chinese have refused to offer. Rather, the Chinese raised levies on exports from Australia. The Aussies are currently in a of conundrum: wither security/historical ties with the US or economic survival with China?
