Not true, he is one of the longest serving but not the longest serving monarch. HRM Sikiru Adetona(Awujale of Ijebu-Ode) remains the longest serving king.

You will soon start hearing that europeans trace their roots to bini kingdom. There will be an oba of london. gringrin

Chai! This man has disgraced his forefathers. tongue

These guys should actually do a dna test, not just read a random book and say that you trace your roots to bini, so that they can end their identity crisis.

Mr I didn't see any crisis here. DNA test for what?

Can't you read the simple message again

Why not go and drag them to do DNA test so that you can be satisfied.

I think you need DNA also on inferiority complex and disturbing other over what they choose and decide too be.

You need DNA + RNA.

Bros calm down oh. Nobody is attaching anyone here. They should do dna test so that we can know which is which. The op said that this man traces his roots to bini, did the oba say that himself? grin Dna test does not lie. They should bring at least 1000 subjects for testing so that we can end this useless debate for once. Are you scared of dna test? grin I have seen many ikwerre claiming bini for strange reasons. Some ikwerres will even be questioning their origin because of some strange unverifiable story they saw online. They are very confused. Some say they are igbos, some say that they are distinct, some say they are bini. ah ah! undecided
I see no reason to attach ikwerre. What will we gain if ikwerres are igbos? Aren't these the same people that where rushing to ohanaeze ndigbo when they felt they where being marginalized in the old rivers state.

I attended same secondary school with three of his children. I remember during Dr Peter Odili's tenure when the Oba attended the school inter-house sport, omo see convoy like that of a governor, with more than 10 chiefs in his Entourage.

First submission about their histroty.

The Ogbas pays allegiance to Benin kingdom.

They owe allegiance to bini and not to Igbo as you are driving.

In simple terms they are not Igbos and have nothing too do with ndigbo.

The post is clear.

This is the typical madness we are talking about. Some right from his great grand father, diwn to him, have Igbo names.

But they say his title makes Bini?

Testing for what exactly?

like I said you need the test not them to cure inferiority complex.

You want to test people because they said that they ain't part of you...

Imagine such inferior thinking that you now want to decide who they are.

They are what they totally agree to be.

Reverse is the case because if your head is intact and not feeling inferior, you won't come here and be asking people to do dna because they decided to be what they what to be and you are in pain.

They are binis and that's their origin.

Ok, but why don't they want to do dna test to end their identity crisis? Does dna test kill? grin Not all of them believe they are bini, and not all of them believe that they are igbos.

Why are you attacking me as if I care about these people, that I didn't even know existed until nairaland?

If oil or civil war is the reason why they deny their own, then it's best we distance ourselves from them.

My advice for these guys is to go for dna test...

They all belived they are from Bini and none ever believed they are igbo.

It is you that is a total stranger that is disturbed by their decision which shouldn't be.

why are you so disturbed that they trace their root and hold allegiance to bini?

Do you benefit anything special from them?

or is their condition better than yours?
