So I finally signed up through your link 3 days ago and I just got an email that my account has been opened. Please how do I go about activating the app. I've downloaded it but it's asking for an account number before I can register. I want to make sure everything is ready before I make transfer. Thanks! emmasoft: |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 5:28pm On Nov 18, 2020 |
Rose99: Okay. You're welcome on board. To have a smooth running of the app. The best thing to do is: Fund your account by transferring your fund to the Citibank account, details sent to you using your customer account number as description or narration or reference depending on the term your bank uses. Within 24hrs a link and your password will be sent to you. Login to your account on the web, You will see the principal and the interest. Then you can now register on d app you just downloaded as an existing customer. All your details will be uploaded automatically. You can actually monitor your account on the web or through the app or both. If you still need further clarification Chat me up on the number on my signature Thank you for the patronage 1 Like 1 Share |

emmasoft:Please I want to find out how long it takes to update my VGIF account because I called one investment for my statement of account and was told to do that and I also asked what will happen to the money have been paying to the stanbic ibtc account since they did not have the courtesy to send messages to customers to update the account. They did not give a convincing reply. I have done the update and I have still not gotten my statement of account yet. That is why I want to know how long it takes to update an account |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 12:26pm On Nov 21, 2020 |
Pally84: Ok. I think I get you now. The notice of change of custodian bank from Stanbic to Citibank was communicated to all VGIF customers. Some customers even called me then to be sure it was genuine which I confirmed some of them are on this forum. Well since you have been depositing in the old custodian bank, have all your evidence of deposit and send them to customer care copy your account officer your account will be updated, ordinarily deposit made for VGIF is posted/updated within 24hrs. Better still my number is on the post you quoted contact me so we can sort it out together. Sorry for the inconveniences. |

freeman67:Thanks, apart from the normal transfer charge of #52, is there any additional charges? |
Re: Mutual Funds by freeman67: 4:07pm On Nov 21, 2020 |
MssRose: If you are transfering from your StanbicIBTC bank mobile app to any of their mutual fund account the only charge will incure is maybe SMS alerts charge if you use the service. It is same bank transfer so there should be no charge except for only "one fund" where they use a standard chartered Bank account and maybe the dollar fund if it is not same as the standard chartered account. |
Re: Mutual Funds by Pally84: 4:08pm On Nov 21, 2020 |
emmasoft:There was no communication from one investment, even my aged old man that encouraged me to open the account in 2013 did not get the update message. I was the person that told him. I even went to your Maryland office almost a month ago to do the update and I was not allowed into the office cos of a standing order in the name of operating skeletal services as a result of the fallout of the End SARS prottest. I have done it for more than 3wks and I added in the email I need the statements but till now nothing as been done. Ps, I don't have an account officer, I opened it myself when the office was still opposite TBS |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 8:52pm On Nov 21, 2020 |
Pally84: Kindly get in touch or get to the office on Wednesday to sort it out. I can see your account was opened a long time ago perhaps under kakawa. As at 2013 the fund was still with kakawa and known as KGIF. It was 2014 Ione took over kakawa and since then there has been alot of changes. I hope you are not holding the physical certificates at the moment. You can check the attached file it's a copy of the mail sent to customers.

Re: Mutual Funds by DUNKA(m): 4:48pm On Nov 23, 2020 |
Good day all with the crashed rates affecting MMFs, TBs and Fixed deposits which genuine investment product can one now put his money in that have a reasonable rate of return? Any recommendations/pointers would be highly appreciated. |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 7:11pm On Nov 23, 2020 |
DUNKA: If your risk tolerance is low. I will recommend VGIF current rate is 7.5% Gurranteed it's managed by investment one. Check my signature to get my contact and link to register. If you can take risk open stockbroking account and watch the market as stock prices are going down to accumulate good fundamental stocks. |
Re: Mutual Funds by DUNKA(m): 6:20am On Nov 27, 2020 |
emmasoft:what is the opening minimum balance for the VGIF? Thanks |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 8:05am On Nov 27, 2020 |
DUNKA:The initial minimum deposit is N50,000. After that you can top up as low is N1, 000 or as much as a billion. Please note when you are liquidating you can withdraw all your capital to the Last kobo. |
Re: Mutual Funds by bisiswag(f): 10:24am On Nov 27, 2020 |
emmasoft:Please I am interested,how does this work? Thanks |
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 10:40am On Nov 27, 2020 |
bisiswag: Simple. VGIF is a mutual fund in the fixed income category. it's not tenor base like TBills. ie the investors decide how long you want your money to be invested in the fund. After the first deposit, you can top up with any amount anytime at any interval- daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or it can even be a one off deposit and leave it for as long as you want. Interest which currently is 7.5% is prorated and earned daily but paid or reinvested depending on your option twice yearly - 1st July and 1st January. To register, click the link on my signature at the bottom of this post and register online. You can also monitor your account online wherever you are in the world. You need the following to register as you click the link - ID card, passport photo, utility bill and your signature which you are required to upload at the last page of the online form. N.B: Investment one will not ask you for cash to register. it's free. You can also connect me with the phone number on my signature if you need further clarifications. Thank you |
