Free education has started in Ghana as far back as Kwame inkurumah time but not widely coverd as it is now.( The entire northern region of Ghana which is bigger than South west and south south of Nigeria is on free education ever since independence) And mind you, the kind of free education in Ghana is 100 percent free not like that of Nigeria where PTA fees are paid, chairs and locker are purchased by the pupils themselves. Here in Ghana , every thing about schooling is completely free. there is also free meal for pupils which include a luxurious chocolate drink. Infact, pupils in boarding house pays nothing. Including textbook , external /internal exams ( wassce ) etc are essentially free .

you are lying And you know it . In Nigeria public secondary school , pupils pays PTA levels . I was paying 600 naira in my days . And we are made to pay as well when the school need school bus . Chairs and lockers were not free as well

As a boarding student , we also pay as well
