danilmo: So u telling me Yoruba land can't be great without getting the presidency in 2023. That the future of the yoruba race is heavily dependent on a Yoruba man becoming president on 2023. Obasanjo that was president for 8 years, how did he help Yoruba people. U guys are not serious. Tinubu is gradually introducing almajiri economic system into Yorubaland. Where there will be few ultrawealthy elites and millions will be left to wallow in poverty. The latter will now depend on crumbs from former to survive. That's the Yoruba leader u want me to support because of 2023 aspiration. I keep saying it, the mindset of the present Yoruba youth is too docile. It lacks the will for disruptive innovation and economic renaissance we were formerly known for. Tinubu rent seeking economy has completely wrecked the soul of our youths. They now believe the best way to success is the pathway of least resistance. Look at our present wealthy elites, none of them are industrialists in the likes of odutola, Razaq okoya, bode Akindele, subomi balogun, otudeko etc. The present ones are simply wealth distributors not wealth creators- mostly beneficiary of oil blocks or oil licence. Unfortunately, the youths are not stepping up. They are equally joining the practice of making wealth via rent seeking or political patronage. No wonder for the first time in Yoruba history, to be at the federal level has become a do or die affair. Yoruba youths now believe in the sham called One Nigeria and do not want to hear anything about RESTRUCTURING- what a shame. Whether we like it or not, Tinubu's tenure as the leader of the Yoruba people has been the most retrogressive n depressing in modern era. U can't just point out to any legacy or remarkable achievement of his leadership despite being in charge for more than 10 years. Our competitive edge is being eroded, Yoruba politicians are as corrupt as their contemporaries if not worse, we struggling to latch on our indigenous ingenuity to bring out the greatness in us. Being at the centre will not change anything, it will only enrich Tinubu and his cronies. This is the Yoruba ronu we should be talking about. 1 Like |

Present politicians ruling Yoruba states are the most useless ever. They have no idea what governance is all about or how to improve the livelihood of their people. Aregbesola practically indebted osun state to a point of no return, yet he's a powerful broker in Tinubu's caucus. And what's so special about the federal if not for the laziness and almajri spirit clouding the minds of Yoruba people. Southwest fared better when we were in opposition. It was the obsession with the federal that led to the rancour btw Awolowo and akintola. Now u guys want us to overlook Tinubu's evil practices just because he's the so called beacon of light, u people want us to keep silent on his atrocities. Tinubu that couldn't defend his people during the last EndSARS protest but sent soldiers to kill them at lekki toll gate. Buhari never for one day betrayed boko haram or the fulani herdsmen just because of presidency. He stood by them all through and that's why he's highly respected in the north. Tinubu isn't principled, he's a fair weather person. Yes today, No tmrw. He cannot be trusted to stand by his words and I'll never vote for him just because he's Yoruba. Come 2023, I'm voting for who will most likely RESTRUCTURE this nation, irrespective of presidency. That's what this country needs and not another looter at Aso rock. U guys claim other region are covering up their leaders atrocities, thus we should do the same in SW. What's my business if Gov Wike wipes out the whole indigenes of oyigbo n the igbos decide to keep silent. That is not a valid reason to overlook Tinubu's atrocious involvement at Lekki toll gate. He should pay for his SINS, our leaders must learn not to be greedy. Yorubaland has the potential to become the most successful black nation in the world if we get our acts right, look inwards, harness our resources appropriately and elect the right leaders just like the days of old. We don't need any federal presence. Yoruba youth should wake up from their self induced slumber. The One Nigeria project is reaching its terminal end, u don't want to be unprepared when it happens. U should fight for the future u want, young men build civilisation, not old men. Old men don't care about the future, why should they stress over something they won't be part of. A perfect example is how Buhari is wrecking the future of Nigeria. There is no future in Nigeria, stop hyperventilating over it. Focus on southwest Nigeria and build it. Thats the future. We should build alliance with our cousins in Benin republic n Togo. U guys have nothing in common Hausas or igbos, we are different. Resist the destructive extractive economic system practiced by Tinubu in Lagos and southwest in general. U may support his political aspiration in 2023, I don't have a problem with that but call him out as regards his governance style in southwest. Rumour is going around he has vowed to impose his son Seyi Tinubu as the next governor of Lagos. How does that help u and I as a Yoruba person. How does that affect his 2023 presidency if I criticize that decision. U guys should get ur head out of the sand and think for yourselves for once. This is Yoruba ronu we should be discussing, not those nonsense u guys are writing. |

SIRTee15: Your long epistle & argument amount to nothing on this matter. There is a calculated attempt to pull down the Yoruba's by trying to rubbish Tinubu.Tinubu may not be a saint but he is a rallying point for the SW today. The Ibos are trying to use a subtle way to dislodge SW from the center they've enjoyed so long. They want the SW to remain in opposition politics while they romance the center.Look at the picture from 1960,Zik left Awo in opposition to join Tafawa Balewa government, same was done in 1979 by Ekwueme to Shagari government. They are pained that the Yoruba formed a government with the North they've always been forming government with, while keeping the west in opposition.Listen "o si ni be o ni bawo ni won se pin". You're not there, your asking how did they share it.If thing that someone from SE love SW more than worst Swesterner,it is a big fat lie.Don't be decieved, the North is not the problem of the west in the 2023 race but SE.The same tool they used against Awo & MKO is what they are using against Tinubu.Yoruba ronu,bi a n ba ara wa ja bi ti iku ko. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Ojiofor: He spoke the absolute truth. If Tinubu is ever on that ballot against any other southerner, the winning votes of the North & SW are securely in the bag for him. Take that to the bank. Tinubu has proven to be a reliable, loyal ally and he is reaping the political rewards and will continue to because bamu wulakanta rikon amana. 2 Likes |

ThatFairGuy1:You too are scared of the hausas Face your hausa aggressors and leave the igbos alone that are just enjoying the one Nigeria that you built. I know when it used to be fighting every time between the igbos and the yorubas in Lagos. but now we have understood each other very well that there is no more fighting over so many years and I know its annoying people like you that we are no longer fighting. Peace must continue to reign between us whether you like it or not. Zik established paper and wasn't using it against Yorubas but the Lagos ibadan media was up in propaganda against the igbos especially after the war to incite hatred which is still in you but has left many yorubas who have seen the light that the igbos are not their enemies but partners in progress. You will be the only one left in that lane of hatred. Igbo hatred will just kill only you I repeat I have so many Yoruba friends both Muslims and Christians that have seen the light that we are not their problem |

QuotaSystem:We know this That is why PDP will give it to the north again to trash Tinubu We want to enjoy another round of 8yrs recession since this is the only language you people understands, let's enjoy it together Dave Umahi is working for the APC that is why he wants to force PDP to zone PDP ticket to the east so that the SW can greedily bring Tinubu to win. We know every thing Once APC brings a SW person the south should just forget about the presidency because PDP will go for a northerner and retain the presidency |

SIRTee15: 1.you are definitely a liar 2.an ungrateful somebody 3.definately a paid propagandist.ur supporting alliance of LAGOS with Benin republic gives that away 4.You need to reconsider your ways My response to you Tinunbu brought strategic leadership to Lagos. That means long term planning that is abided to by successive leadership.Thats a man with a vision He helped Lagos survive without FG allocation witheld by your darling obasanjo for years.Thats the only State to ever do so Increased the income earning powers of the State to be able to survive without federal revenue.a non oil producing State for that matter.it was not magic its management With its population Lagos is way safer than many cities in south Africa and other parts of Nigeria.Security in that sprawling city is because someone somewhere somehow is keeping local boys in check. If you grew up in Lagos when they shared letters ahead to residents to prepare to be robbed you will understand Lagos has the best indices on everything in Nigeria.Health, employment, infrastructure just name it That's what leadership is.Lagos pays its staff without delay.Lagos creates jobs and employs people .But somehow you have succeeded in blamming a progressive state with 20 year development plans that minds its bussiness for the woes of Nigeria. And you suggest partnership with Benin republic as the future You are definitely an omo ale For the record Tinunbu has not been Governor in Lagos for over 12 years. Its his bussiness what he does with his spare time. That includes running for presidency, supporting the FG or whatever Tinunbu or the rich are not responsible for employing the youth. What I do with my hard earned money when I finally become rich is my prerogative and its my bussiness. My money not your right The Goverment has mannnnnnny programs hat give funds to the youths.from n power.to covid funds.to Agmeis serious youths shoukd find our to get that capital and get wealth. But to blame some people for your lack of progress in life... Start with your Father. Then his brothers and the rest of your mothers family. Then your village the chief and the village people. Then your Local chairman Your Governor and your senators. Dont forget your late ancestors that did not pave way for you in life and in death or give you imagination or the ability to trust God.Before you mention Tinunbu or the rich. You understand? 3 Likes 1 Share |

They will receive their parents blessing to be successful in Lagos and their parents will tell them not to forget their siblings when things turnaround good for them in Lagos. These are people that couldn't make it in their states before they arrived Lagos. Some of them will later become successful in Lagos only for them to start cursing the man "Jagaban" who built Lagos through his vision instead of their own state governors who sent them out as refugees. bigfish3k: You are free to cut your own nose to spite your face. However Tinubu will beat Atiku hands down here in the north, not only because the general knowledge is that Nigeria's continued existence is anchored on the rotation principle, but because we already know Atiku is a bad candidate and a sellout munafuki. I won't say more than that. 5 Likes |

How the protests set Lagos back I'll use the transport sector.Lagis had a 20 year plan for everything.in transport it includes dedicated lanes for emergencies.Commercial transport to move a certain number of people.emmergency points and treatment for accidents.there were other planned things I know a train and a rail car like in Brazil is theresomewhere. All sponsored by State So Lagos starts with the dedicated emmergency lane and fixing the roads.it sounds like not a big deal but it was.getting traffic to be delayed while BRT lanes where made all over Lagos.Lagos got an African achievement in transport for this by the way.No other State in Nigeria has this...but not a big deal Next where the buses very expensive something.Lagos started with not sure of the number but they gradually increased them over the years. Some where through PPP,the red ones but majority the blue ones where with State money.People queue up long queues to use those buses and I used to wonder if this had not been done what would these people have used. Lagos today has over 1500.That costs billions. But then the population of the city keeps increasing. Now its estimated to be over 20 million. How do you house 20 million people In the smallest State in Nigeria and people keep trouping there. Bastards burnt a significant number of those buses recently. Brand new ones in their brand new fancy dedicated park fat oyingbo about 280 brand new BRT buses Next was the streets.Large streets everywhere from Ikorodu to Epe,to iyana ipaja.to akoka.Only real genetic liars will say Lagos did not improve its roads. Those streets cost money for every house damaged for a street the owners cashed out big time and Lagos payed.acountability systems where also added.if your road has been paid for but not done.or has a pothole.you snap it and send online on a site and they fix it.I used it for my street and it worked.PS I do not know anybody in goverment Next was the waterways.Lagos invested heavily and got into turf wars with FG on this one.Boats ,jetties, the whole package.People from Ikorodu and not sure of Yaba use waterways easing traffic.Lagos even equipped maritime police to guard the waterways .The jetties are beautiful by the way Next is the rail line still ongoing but almost complete. And i know the arrangements for the rail cars are on.These new developments employ people.they mean the State is not where it was 20 years ago, they mean progress is happening and thats in just transport.Imagine the number of persons employed by State for just transport only. Other reforms in transport include the electronic identification of vehicle registration defaulters and notice before it expires.Lagos innovated in its systems made it easier to pay and made more money in the process. But then some omo ale with no idea what it takes to raise funds say Tununbu spoilt Lagos, tell me one State that their transport system is better or has catered better to its people transport wise. The didinrins burnt how many vehicles in one day? How much did they contribute to buying the vehicles that they burnt? Most of them dont even pay tax o.But its okay because it belongs to Goverment...awon oponu rada rada and they say Goverment is the problem. In Kogi the retards burnt an MRI machine and the commisoner was crying like a baby.and they say the politicians are the problem.Nigerians themselves are the problem 2 Likes 1 Share |

LegendHero: Beautiful response. I tell people that there was never a time that all the the presently "old" people held a meeting and decided that all of them would be bad leaders. Some of the old people today actually started politics as young men, Tinubu, Orji Uzor Kalu, Saraki and a lot of other politicians started as young men in their thirties. There are bad old men as well terrible young men who shouldn't be anywhere near leadership. Electing a young person does not guarantee that he or she would perform well. My parents and a lot of our parents weren't part of the old people who destroyed Nigeria, therefore it would be wrong for us to classify all old people as bad or being responsible for the mess find ourselves in. Some of these old people have been fighting for a better Nigeria since God knows when and some.of them that are still alive are still in the trenches. |

Like u want to revenge decayed Nigeria system on Yoruba leader now that we are almost at the bridge of clinching Presidency? U are here asking me how being a president will benefit us?? Mtxh alaye, lol The way u guys criticized tinubu contribution self is funny, the last political office he held was as a Governor 13years ago, and he contributed his quota to Lagos state and they are enjoying it till date (not saying he is perfect, they can do better) or how do u think he can help the whole SW wen he isn't in government?? We want to compare him to awolowo who was the western elected leader ni?? Has tinubu held any political office aside being a Governor?? Even without allocation for 3+years withheld by then OBJ of same Yoruba o, tinubu managed Lagos well,. The little chance he want to have to do the general needful is what fellow like u are pointing accusing finger against meanwhile other choose to b silent on their own,e.g Ibori ex convict, orji Kali, atiku and many but na we wan do intelligent pass, same way some of we Yoruba clip awolowo because of some flaws, here we are today na trying to do dsame for Tinubu in the name of forming intelligent. 1 Like |
