chinjo: Do not mind d Yeye Government. U spent 5yearz on planning. Next month will clock 6yrs and still planning. Why not buy the Local manufactured car today and we tick it for u as already done on your Govt bucket List. Everywhere and everything u hear from them is planning. U plan to lift 100mi people out of poverty , d next thing u do is to hike fuel price which is the rate determining steps for all commodities in Nigeria, U hike electricity, u even hike recession for us. Shame. Not forgetting u have d plan to build refineries ( new one) whether complete or modular ; they are still on planning stage at ur 5th year out of 8yrs in govt. Hmmm.. Still planning to provide 20k Mega watt of electricity. Am so confused with all these " Plans of no traction ". 3 Likes |

They should just remove that outrageous import duty. Imagine someone buying a new car of N30m and then you have to pay like 10m to clear it, and that's even compromised duty oh. Complete full duty is around N22m. That's why tokunbo cars are very expensive. Duty should not be more than 5 to 7%. If local manufacturers can't step up to build quality cars, if they keep building scrap and putting outrageous prices on it, nobody will buy. They can't expect to use govt mechanism to FORCE sales on the masses. Look at rice, foreign rice was better quality, no stones, but they banned it for local rice, yet the rubbish local rice full of stones is selling higher than foreign rice did. Buhari needs to open land borders too, or else his economic policies will continue to fail and inflation will continue to rise. 1 Like |

ThatFairGuy1: What is your problem now? The government crippled all land trade export except for one business and you're comparing it to the government buying locally produced vehicles which is already the norm all over the world. Have you eaten this morning? 1 Like |
