TrumpsWall:Not at all. This has nothing to do with data breach. Look it like this, if they had payed you or overpaid for a job that you completed, they will be copying you, HR, your bank and the police. Unless you intend going back to the agency to seek work, I don’t see why you should not be paid for work you’ve done. |

Good evening guys. Please I need your help, I arrived UK this month on a tier 4 Visa for a course but I want to switch to a different course with a start date of February 2021. I have been told I can make the switch, but i am looking at the implications for my Visa. My Visa runs out February 2022 and the new course I am switching to has an end date of January 2022. 1) Will one month be enough time to apply for the post study Visa. 2) Will I still be eligible for the post study Visa given the switch cos I asked the immigration team of the school and the respondent said I might not be eligible for post study Visa if I switch. below is his reply in details and as far as I know the only conditions for post study Visa is your course ending after Summer 2021 "As long as the new course is at the same academic level as the first course, and you can complete the course within the validity period of your current visa, then no implication for your visa. However, if you will need more time to complete the new course you will have to return home and apply for a new visa. Please note that if you change course you may not be eligible to apply for the graduate employment visa next year. This is based on current guidance form UKVI and may change" |

TrumpsWall: There are some no win, no fee lawyers, they should be able to take this up. The ombudsman won’t be too strong on a small agency that has nothing to lose (the agency can just close business and open with another name). Ombudsman is only good when you’re attacking a huge company. So for this, use lawyers |

dahmelawlah: All graduating students irrespective of course, can apply and get the post study. It’s called “post” study, not post stem study or post business study. So the course is not the problem, what becomes the problem is the amount of time you need to apply for the post study as it may have restrictions like “you must finish uni and have 3 months to be eligible” If there’s no restriction like that, you can apply for the post study as far as you finish the course before your visa runs out + submit the application at least 2 days to the visa running out (check up immigration act 3c) What you should worry about is the eligibility requirements to apply for the post study |

sammydoe: I was told by an immigration officer that one can travel, when you get to Nigeria they will allow you and write something on the passport. But he said that one need to have an immigration officer at the airport that can easily pass you through. (Trust Nigeria) I will also advice you do emergency traveling document. I posted here bf on this and some1 said that the airline did not allow her/ he travel. So get necessary information. |

G.morning house pls be careful with the immigration officer you use to renew your passport in Nigeria. So many of them are theives. If you don't get the right amount for passport, they will drain y money. I will advice that anybody that wants to renew passport should walk inside their office and do it. Atimes some of them connect you to some one but that person is not working in passport office, the person has his boys that does it. The person might be working at the airport. I will advice that immigration women are the best to use than their men. They are less expensive and have human feelings. The normal amount to renew 32 pages is 30k, some collect more than that, try to bargain well. For 64 pages is 40k. Even if you are doing express. I even know of some1 that renew for 28k. My friend just renewed and they collected 50k from him for 64 pages, the immigration man never explained and taught that it is 32 pages and it was already late bc they claim they have submitted it online and they told him to pay for extra that the 50k surpose to be for 32 pages. We need to be careful. Money is hard to get. For those of you that don't have national ID, the best place to renew is festac. 1 Like |

Monmarri:The new enhanced E passport 32 pages valid 5 years is 25k 64 pages valid 5 years is 35k 64 pages valid 10 years is 70k Anything asides this is entering the official’s passport. If you are applying in Nigeria, U dnt need any immigration officer to help you, pay online, print ur receipts and forms online and go with all ur documents to their office. Any documentary requirements tht will be asked are specifically stated on the portal below. https://immigration.gov.ng/standard-passport/ Pls stop falling into scam. Oggg: Praise the Lord! LoL. Try getting a replacement at some obscure place outside of Abj/Lag like Warri, Benin, Kogi etc and lets see how it goes. Nigeria will get better but not with PR stunt and propaganda. When there is a public portal that shows the throughput of each station (data capture, processing and collection time) like McDonald's and public review where applicants can submit verified reviews then we can start talking. 3 Likes |

Chukwuka16: Pr stunt and propaganda as per Buhari’s aide? Or Osibanjo’s payroll? A little click would have saved you from making such an unfounded and frivolous comment whilst trying so hard to sound intelligent. There is a dedicated thread on nairaland with Nigerians real life experiences and real reviews which can be found here.... good, bad and ugly... https://www.nairaland.com/1969461/cost-nigeria-international-passport/37 Abeg shift! 1 Like |

I will look at that option. Small claims has more teeth than Ombud so I dey think the former. It's actually a well known agency with offices around the world. It's the bloody useless IT firm that I worked for is 'small'. If I decide to take legal action, will it be the firm or the agency? Aphrodite007: |

Yes the Immigration officials were very bitter as u cud see it on their faces that their pain was that it was paid online but e nor concern me. I paid the official prices and not one kobo extra. I have had enough of the massive corruption happening in those offices. 6 Likes |
