Most people seem not to understand the implications of standing a surety for someone on trial in law. This has nothing to do with tribe, religion, etc. It simply means that you agree to be held responsible for the defendant actions whenever he breaches any of the terms and conditions of the court of jurisdiction. I am sure Ndume and Abaribe (both lawmakers) are conversant with this provision of the law. 1 Like |

Me Think That Attempt To Kill Nnamdi Kanu In His Hometown By The Nigeria Army From Which He Flee Has Exonerated Senator Abaribe. No Man Whose Life Is In Danger Will Wait To Be Killed. The Army Chased Nnamdi Kanu Out Of The Reach Of Abaribe And So Cannot Turn Around To Tell The Senator To Produce The Same Man They Chased Out. This Is A Simple Logic. 2 Likes |

seunmsg: And you're yet to call for the arrest of the terrorists and bandits ravaging the country. Is that not double standard as well? Your hatred for the Igbos will kill you very soon If you don't want to change. Was the circumstances surrounding Nnamdi Kanu's disappearance and that of the criminal Maina, the same? If the army had killed Kanu then, that would've made you happy abi? |

tonykel1:Explain that to the Judge, maybe you can’t comprehend? The Judge has already ruled on that in a civil suit filed by Kanu, saying the court sees no nexus between the invasion & his escape from the law, if the fugitive felt his life was in danger on the outside, he should have applied to be sent back to Kuje Executive prison were he would have been safer? Instead of putting the Senator in trouble, that shows you the kind of person kanu is, a coward that is quick to betray. |

Didn’t think so! |

Vaughanlanrewaj: If audio is the only thing they have then they dont have much. If you play an audio in court where Nnamdi Kanu is telling people to burn down Lagos, the next thing the judge will be expecting is evidence that those who did the burning were acting on Kanu"s orders. If there is no evidence, besides audio, the judge will throw out the case. The criminal justice system doesn't rely on what was said, it relies on facts and evidence |
Re: Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial In Absentia Begins, MASSOB Defends Abaribe by Vaughanlanrewaj: 7:40pm On Nov 25, 2020 |
gidgiddy: That is why the Lagos State Government and Governor must take the investigation seriously. To the best of my knowledge, the IPOB leader has not denied calling for the burning of Lagos before the carnage and that itself is a crime. So making reckless statements to create and promote chaos is an offence under the law and that was why Dr Malaifia was hounded, even Omoyele Sowore too. The need to establish the nexus between the audio where the leader of IPOB leader instructing and commanding his IPOB members to burn down Lagos and the coordinated arson is absolutely important to discourage crime. |
