Well the weirdest rule I have ever seen/heard a landlord give to his tenants is that no one is expected to cook food in the kitchen once its past nine o'clock(exempted only when there's an event coming up)

2-no one is expected to own a generator in the compound(like wtf!! )

3-each room in the compound will be checked at the end of the week to know which one is clean and tidy.

the only thing dat will get a landlord is if u start bringing in suspicious looking characters as visitors into his compound cos no reasonable landlord would want his house to be a den for criminals or cultist

That any visitor who sleeps over must come for physical verification at his flat. (on top room wey I pay for) Also, you can't entertain more than 1 visitor per night.

Broke the rule intentionally many times, got a quick notice and was refunded.

That i should bring one woman they will identify as my girlfriend.
And if i don't bring one woman for identification i should bring my mom along and she must not be old..

thats understandable..im no want make una break open im wall of im house.there some tenants wey landlord go allow dem instal AC then when dem wan pack they will remove the AC then leave the open wall like that instead of sealing it back.If u can just hang ur AC without breaking up the wall of the house u dey stay i dont think the landlord will refuse u if he is a reasonable human being.Op said the landlord put rule make dem no cook for their kitchen when its past 9 pm.so how would he know a tenant is cooking after 9pm and why would a landlord be concerned when someone prefers to cook his meals .except maybe dem dey share one kitchen for the lodge then when night reach the landlord locks the kitchen .

Have never seen a tenant staying in same compound with landlord and have rest of mind

My own landlord doesn't have a problem, his own is don't make noise and don't owe him and I'm okay with that
