I Applied As An Assistant Chaplain In D Navy.

Chaplains are not allowed to fight or in anyway engage in combat.

I know in the U.S. military, they are not even permitted to carry weapons of any sort - to include side arms.

Most chaplains have an enlisted soldier that is considered an "assistant" to the chaplain and IS permitted to carry a weapon. In many ways this makes him the chaplain's "body guard" while deployed.

Like I said, Chainplain are not allowed to Carry weapon in the United States Military..

So when you are attached with an Enlisted Solider.. You are enlisted with a personnel that have specialties within the Military. They perform specific job functions and have the knowledge, skills and abilities to ensure the success of their unit's mission... They are proper army and their job is to keep you safe if you posted for peacekeeping...
