Eastern Region Would Have Been The Poorest by FSBoperator: 7:37am On Nov 28, 2020 |
With COR region set to be carved out of the old eastern regon, the region would have been both the poorest and least politically relevant. Azikiwe was stirring at his political irrelevance. Rejected in the west and now the Niger Delta, Azikiwe would have been relegated as a minority leader in the federal Parliament. This is why they struck on Jan 15 , 1966. 1 Like |

OfficialAPCNig: Stop your weak lies. You struck because COR region was set to be carved out from the Eastern region which would have made your blighted region the poorest and least relevant. That's the only truth. That lie of installing Awolowo was a lie used by you Igbos to cajole the Yorubas to support your Marxist dictatorship. 1 Like |

Bkayyy:I used to think only Ibadan has brown roofs but thanks to Social Media, I am better informed now. I don't understand why people will live in such depilated building and be insulting people that are better than them. Even here in Lagos, there is always sharp contrast between areas that are dominated by Yorubas and those Igbos dominate. I am still trying to ubderstand what they see in rickety buildings. Their governments are trying to give them good roads but those lazy souls can't cplement their govt efforts. I saw a recent picture of Osogbo, a whole capital with good roads drowned in a sea of brown roofs. Ifite Awka a village in Awka is far developed than Osogbo. Go to Ifite and see what Anambras are doing with money. We have begged to give us drone view of that area so that our sophisticated brothers will learn what true development is, not rickety buildings with stupid architecture that will soon collapse on their skulls. 23 Likes 1 Share |

FSBoperator:I only blamed your govt for removing history from school curriculum. When the coup happened, where was Awolowo? He was in prison for planning coup with Ghana to overthrow Azikiwe/Belewa after Azikiwe refused to form govt with him (his AG party doesn't have majority to form govt yet he wants Zik to betray NPP that had clear majority) The first people to plan coup are the Yoruba people. Again, carving of state was done under Gowon when Ojukwu declared Biafra. It has nothing to do with the yoruba coup of 1966. 16 Likes |

OfficialAPCNig: You're not tired of telling lies I see.. after helping Military imprison Awolowo who got freed by Gowon, you're shamelessly telling us you struck, killing all leaders of other ethnic groups except Igbos to enthrone Awolowo. OfficialAPCNig: Liar. Then why did Ironsi pass Decree 34 secretly which beared all the hallmarks of Azikiwe? That lie about wanting to install Awolowo came long after Ironsi was killed and deposed by Murtal. You where looking for Yoruba allies to stand with you. Why did they not release Awolowo and install him but just laid back and have Ironsi step in? |

FSBoperator: When someone from a very poor background from Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun , Oyo, inner stench of ajengunle speaks of poverty in east , I just pity their dying and suffering parents in west. More reason I hardly dwell much on threads like this because having moved around west , it is clear that you all are under heavy suffering. So I don't need to talk but rather pity the poor masses suffering because their sons are online promoting false image of them. Poverty has many characteristics and this is one of them. 10 Likes 1 Share |

flokii:Awolowo was at Calabar prisons the night of that revolutionary coup! If the revolutionaries wanted him dead, all they would have done would be to walk into the prisons, drag him out and perforate his sleazy body with endless rounds of machine gun fire! He was kept there all through the turmoil that followed the coup and was eventually handed over to you guys later! Btw, his arrest, trial and imprisonment were all coordinated by the northern party NPC! Why do you guys find it hard to ask them to explain the rationale behind the humiliation of your revered elder statesman? Even up till these days you act as if you agree that the attempted elimination of your supreme leader was a necessary sacrifice to ingratiate yourself to your northern masters.. This is ridiculous! Maybe the understanding that you will do nothing after the elimination of your leaders was part of the motivating factors behind the callous murder of your One kakanfo many years later by the same "nothern allies".. 2 Likes |

nku5: Then why did Azikiwe block the minority report wanting to leave the eastern region? Why did Ironsi send Ojukwu to crush Adaka Boro's revolt to leave Nigeria all together to be free from you Igbos ? You used the resources from the minority regions to develop your Enugu . Isn't this what led to western Cameron leaving Nigeria citing neglect and flagrant pillaging of their resources to develop Igbo towns and cities? You were leaches back then and still are. Even the north did not squander the resources of the minority people like the way you Igbos did in the eastern region. Why did you not respect yourselves like the Yorubas who did not object to Mid Western region being carved out even though till this day people from the old Bendel still regard Awolowo as being fair minded with his free education policies and development strides in their region. Was this the case in the eastern region under you Igbo Jews? 3 Likes |

FSBoperator: Oil? Do you know that if COR Region had been created, much of the Igbo speaking part of present day Rivers would have stayed in the Eastern Region and they are the largest Oil producers in that state? Do you know the huge amount of Oil reserves in present day Imo, Abia and Anambra? Do you know that that some of the largest Gas reserves in Africa are found in Anambra and Imo? Had COR state been created, Oil and Gas would not have been the problem of the Eastern Region. 2 Likes |

Another reason they leave their blighted region is to avoid being around their own Igbo people who the longer they remain in their village the temptation of using each other for money rituals increases by the day. 1 Like |
