If I want to buy bread, and I got quote from 10 people. I'll pick the best taste and best price, not because someone says a particular bread taste better or some tries to persuade to do so.

I've patronized those that gave me good prices and quality job.

We started with Dangote Cement and when it became expensive, we moved to Lafarge. Lafarge is cheaper and has not disappointed so far.

When I got to roofing in July, I got quote from different people. Some are ridiculously high, but I chose one that was cheap and better.

That's the dilemma. A friend built 14 rooms en suite in the village. The aged mother refused to live there because it will be very lonely for her. The house is vacant as we speak. Dude only comes in once every two years. He is left scratching his head. The thought of cleaning and maintenance will make his retirement a stressful one.

Want to build in the village? Use your change. Don't pull capital out of your business for it.

Imagine rehabilitating small portion of 3rd Mainland for ₦18billion. How MUCH will they now use to construct a new one? ₦100billion?

That someone can afford to build a house doesn't mean they should count their hard earned money and give to you at your every request. If you can't compete, this line of business isn't for you.

When you go to a store to buy a pair of shoe, do you just pick any shoe you find in there or do go through the isle to seen other shoes on the shelve?

Those rod prices are scary, so will leave that for now. But if you do cement @3200 to site then we could buy 600 bags for keeps.

Cement within Lekki - Ajah an environs remain ₦3,300, Ironn Rod TMT is ₦285k, Tiget is ₦300k, Local is ₦255k.

Advance payment without pick up will be dangerous because if price change you will be told to pay difference, but if price reduce no refund.

Just carry on normal routine construction works.

As you pay for good pick up & stock in site get security. The only fear now is on Cement, if Dangote increase then price will still go up.

If CBN devaluation come up soon by next year another increment will also come.

Hence, for price to come down not visible.
