On David Luiz after his clash of heads with Jimenez… David is okay. He has a nasty cut [on his head]. He was conscious, they [the medical team] did all the tests for him and he was completely fine. But he wasn’t comfortable playing with that. Obviously, we’re really worried for Jimenez because it looked really nasty. On it being obvious both players had a problem… Yes, when you see the reaction of the players, that’s concerning obviously. You know that something bad is happening. We’d like to send him our best wishes, our love to him and to his family as well who are suffering. Hopefully, it’s not as bad as it looks. On Luiz continuing to play… First, the doc has to check [the player], there’s a protocol to check that he hasn’t lost any consciousness, which he didn’t. They have some tests they have to do before putting him back on the pitch. David was just concerned about the cut nothing else. They will continue to do some checks in the next three hours but he was fine. On why he took Luiz off… He was very uncomfortable, he could not really head the ball. Obviously, a central defender that cannot head the ball cannot continue playing football. On the performance… A really bad result. The performance in the first half, we had our moments and they had two shots on target and scored twice. We had a great reaction in the second half, we went all for it. The team showed their desire and how much they wanted to win the game. We created opportunities, we created the chances and the goal didn’t arrive. Obviously, I’m disappointed because I think we merited more from the game. On if he’s concerned by the home form… It is when you lose three games in a row for different reasons. Obviously, I’m really concerned and I’m responsible for that. I must say that the reaction the team had, the way we played the second half, it was what I expect from them with more quality, more ability. At the end, the desire and the willingness to go and get a result was there. On the lack of goals… We have to put the ball in the net. We created chances but in the end, it’s about putting the ball in the net. In the first half, they had two shots on target and they scored two goals. One with a little deflection and the other a great action from Adama [Traore] which was really difficult to defend. When we had the chances, we didn’t [take them]. The goals will come. I insist. We have to keep pushing the players and believing. On creating chances… I always want to create more chances. More chances and more shots on target. We don’t hit the target enough. We put 32 crosses in today and the quality of those crosses has to increase. We need to be more consistent. We had enough chances today to win a football match and we lost again. No excuses, we need to improve. On Aubameyang’s form… I don’t like to personalise about one player. We all have to score around the team. It’s our responsibility to do that. On form dropping off… You look at the results, it’s exactly like that. The way we lose football matches is by very small margins. Again, in this league as it is at the moment, things are not going our way. It’s not time to feel sorry, it’s time to work harder, everybody being united, pushing the same way and I think it’ll come. We just need to work harder and keep doing better what we’re doing. |

Ok, on arseblog, some fans think Arteta is over coaching the players. They feel that his constant shouting from the touchline is preventing the players from expressing themselves. |

Arteta shouldn't take all the blame. I even pity the guy. The board take the larger share of the blame. At this point, we should go and gather all the academy players and play them.. |

mostob:If we're playing the way we played ystdy, I don't think the Blame should have been much on him like that. With the play of ystdy, we can obviously hope on improvement and even see that our players are really limited. But he parking the bus against the Aston Villa levels(midtable teams), that's solely on him and not the board. And unfortunately, that's how we've been playing this season |

Jodera:But we all know we no longer have quality players . I'm not exonerating him but the board too didn't help matter. The best solution now is to do a clear out, make we start afresh. |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Jodera: 11:54am On Nov 30, 2020 |
mostob:Yes, I know we don't have quality players but the style of play made us to be worse than what we currently are so that's why most of the blames are on him. If the team was creating chances and style of play was somehow good, less blame will be on him and more fingers will be pointed at the board to improve the players |

iamoyindamola:Lol... I've come to agree Emery is a right or good coach but a wrong one for us. His teams play energetic football and aren't boring (except for arsenal). But why I feel he's the wrong one for us is that he wasn't able to effectively communicate his setups and tactics to his arsenal squad. They were times I read the squad were having it difficult to hear what he was saying and they instead meet Ljumberg to break down what he has said. So I just feel it's breakdown of communication that undid Emery's reign at arsenal. No wonder he's rediscovered his mojo back Villarreal. Another thing to note of him is that I feel he can't handle a big club. But As for Arteta case, I feel he doesn't trust his squad enough. Where the mistrust or distrust came form, I don't seem to place it. But the sooner he realizes that and fix it, the better for arsenal and our results. |

Jodera:The midfield is a total scrap Arteta should never start xhaka and ceballos again He should disobey the board and call ozil back till January and he can bin him if he get his AM |

iamoyindamola:And the Villarreal players are not superstars or £75M, they are just players who understands basics, attack with bravery and stand tall like a team. Who knows if Arterta sef handle Chelsea team, he could do well, and it'll boil down to the players... When Pepe was missing empty net,Laca wasting chances, xhaka doing Xhaka things,Mustafi,Sokratis,Kola,Leno etc doing giveaways, I said the players are 60% to be blamed but most people were just pointing everything at Emery. For me. Its 60% players fault, not even Pep or Klopp will do wonders with the team, they'll just go on an honey moon winning streak, win some big games or even those league cups only to capitulate later on in the league. |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Fkhalifa(m): 4:20pm On Nov 30, 2020 |
Jodera:God bless you for coming clean and admitting the facts about Ebening. Like I've been saying, Arsenal's problem is depper than coaching, for me, its the players and those scouting/suggesting them for this club. Even if Ebening speaks Queen's English, he can't turn Xhaka to Gilberto, turn Bellerin to Cafu,Pepe to Mane and Mustafi to Ferdinand. Emery shot himself by believing and trusting those lads, same way Arterta is doing. The Sevilla Emery's team that won 3 Europa was the reason I believed him, they played fast, hard attacking Spanish football, I remembered how they schooled klopp's liverpool 3-0 at the 2015 finals..Even his PSG side were entertaining but with a bad/average defence. A coach cannot win 3 Trophies in Europe, 7 trophies in France and be poor/bad. He might not be a World class coach but far from being bad as Arsenal made him look, and that to me is the reason top coaches like Allegro,Poch,Ancelkoti,Mou etc were not eager for the Arsenal job last year. Nobobdy wants his CV stained. It will take Arsenal good scouting teams who can discover players like Maddisom,Grealish,Podence,Jota et Al. Without spending huge millions. |

Akinbahm:Yes our failure to sign an AM was our undoing this season. Probably the board lacked both money and sense and chose to manage till Jan when they would probably have both. Unfortunately, it is becoming to late unless something miraculous happens. Due to the lack of an AM, I gave us a top 4 target (being generous in fact) but it seems now that a top 8 finish would even be appreciated. |
