Dear pilots Is a tokumbo car really worth the price tag as I am planning to get one soon and also with the current foreign exchange market rate, and also going through the stress of registration and the necessary paper work. How long will an average tokumbo take before it starts developing major faults and needing repairs from wear and tear. What are the benefits of buying a tokumbo over a well maintained naija used car And lastly, are tokumbo cars really buy and drive?, are they problem free as the are expected to be?, did you spend and any money on any fix after driving off the car stand?. Thanks in advance for your help and contributions |

The reality out here is that drivers, especially ehailing ones, should try to obey every traffic law this season. Lastma, police are targeting us now with the dashboards flying upandan. Guys try to follow every rule. No go do like me to follow others do wrong thing. No illegal turning. No 1 way. Seat belt. Just follow all. Avoid wahala this season. Peace. 9 Likes |

Felicity0001: Wrong way to go, if the video is shot while you're driving one way and you're claiming doctored, that magistrate will get infuriated and might add additional sentence for deceiving the court. chinyce if you drive one way and lastma has evidence against you, is better you plead guilty. If the vehicle is to be auction, then you go through the back door and bid in the auction through proxy and win back your vehicle. Goodluck 3 Likes |

NaijaCr7: You're suppose to accept the ticket. That is the evidence of them holding your vehicle. If you decline it will be written in their report you decline accepting. One way offense is a very serious offense, it will be difficult for a lastma officer to just write one way offense without evidence, and confidently want to demand 400k bribe. Conclusion i think chinyce actually committed the offense, but refuse to come out clean. 8 Likes |

jpworld: The reason for my comment is what the original poster said the offence was, if my offense was receiving a call and the ticket indicate one way, I have every reason to reject such ticket and will immediately do a video of the preceding event as evidence. |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by NaijaCr7: 9:39pm On Dec 01, 2020 |
pope191: Every of their ticket I think has a duplicate. My major concern here is the offense indicated on the ticket. The OP said the offense was receiving call (Statutory penalty for that is 10k), so why will I then receive a ticket indicating one way which penalty is forfeiture of vehicle . |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by pope191: 10:14pm On Dec 01, 2020 |
NaijaCr7: I know it does, this whole thing seem shady and the judge is not insane, the lastma officers want to play rough, so it's best to go rough with them. Let me make it clear now, any offence anyone commits without an evidence is good as void, the only thing they can do is to make sure such case don't go to court, they need to have a photo or video of the said car facing one way, words of mouth can't amount to anything, they have a reason for not writing any tin on that ticket, cos presently one way offence is a very serious offence that may lead to impounding the car. 1 Like |

I just finish a board meeting and what I was meant to understand, tho I'll clear dis soon @Chinyce: what u uploaded here is not a ticket, but referral and once u get that, it means the case is going to court, they r yet to give him ticket, d 400k is just word play and even if he tender such claim in court, it won't amount to anything as it wasn't written anywhere. He better make sure he's not telling lies about not being on one way, cos they r not insane to go to court, they may have a tin on him unknowingly. If the case is yet to get to court, it can b soughted out by pleading for ticket, but if there's already a court date? He should just b praying So ask him well to come out clean abt d whole situation 1 Like |

jpworld: Oke how would you give a man who is struggling such and ill advice? because the incompetent Sanwo Olu's government that ordered the killing of peaceful protesters is looking for over 4.3trillion Naira to recoup her lose so she has to put laws in place on forfuitment of people's properties and source of livelihood and you support the motion? What kind of a human are you, how do you sleep, with your two eyes close? Don't you have a heart of human? Have you truly suffered b4? Mr. Okeke I'm dazed at your sense of reasoning and only pray for God to have mercy on you. NaijaCr7: @ chinyce and to all that may want to be educated in this matter... Like I stated most Tuesday and Wednesdays r my rest days so I took out time to educate myself well again in traffic offences and procedures. This the due and legal process. 1) the most grievous traffic offence now in LGS is a 1-Way offense. If you're caught they impound your vehicle then direct you to the oshodi HQ. 2) Your plate number would have been sent there for registry, depending in those that arrested but I'll focus on taskforce because from my understanding theirs can be easy(they're police officials) but if na Lasma I dont know their own procedure but which ever the case may be its same process. 3) when you get there you'll then proceed to an office (under one canopy outside) where your registration number had already been received, that is where your mobile court paper will be served... I don't know the content of this paper because my friend went through the back door so he didn't go through the due process but I made sure I did my proper and authentic findings and I even entered the court room where I witness how a few judgment was ruled. I witness how a woman and one other man lost her vehicle to LGS and also witness and heard testimonies on how some peoples' won their case and got their cars back without paying a dine by pleading "not guilty" 4) You tyen proceed to the mobile court and when you're being called upon with you're charges read to you, prosecutor will then ask "guilty or not guilty"? i) if you plea guilty my brothers forget it that car done go with possible imprisonment to the driver. ii) if you plead not guilty then the magistrate will immediately adjourned the case tuen ask the prosecutor to provide evidence. This is where the legal proceeds will then start. So if in the day of adjournment come and the prosecutor fails to provide thankgable evidence to convince the magistrate then the magistrate will rule out the case in favour accordingly but if they provide evidence and you have a good lawyer to counter and also convince thw magistrate, great! The case might also be adjourned depending on how convince the magistrate is till final ruling. So this is the due process. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Felicity0001: Part 2: Through thw backdoor Now, if youre caught on any of the traffic offence, step 1 and 2 is the norms... Don't ever go to that canopy or think of proceeding to court. There's a canteen in the compound just go there and seat inside, if you can buy food and eat or contact GAZZUZZ logistics to get you a plate of Jamaican rice with chicken from mama radautoworks b4 your order must have arrived if you're smart you must have Atikulated(code) the nigerian factor. If you still haven't been able to, when your order arrives open it, get a bottle of coka-cola and start eating your food with your two eyes on your food without your head up don't ask me why I'm very very sure b4 you'd finished eating somebody would have approach you. From there you'll be told what and what to do. But be ready to spend at least N150,000. This fee doesn't include the money you'll be paying at the yard your car is being parked oh. So @ chinyce... If you know its a 1-Way offense you have kindly choose which one best suit you. I can't drop number here else I would have sent you one or two persons that can assist you and guild you through the process but go prepare. But if you're very sure it's phone call offense you have but they changed it for you, guy go through the normal process and get a lawyer because they wont be able to provide any convincing evident against you in court. Any other evidence other than the one way is null and void so magistrate will strike out the case then discharge it and even you can fill for charges because you can say you didn't commit any offense. The ball is at your court. Choose which path you go. Good luck!! 7 Likes |

How much is the stupid car that Sanwo olu want to use in recouping money for Lagos, who told you Lagos is broke? If you disobey the law, you face the consequences. 4 Likes |

jpworld: Inasmuch as I don't like the undertone of this messenger, I and the good people of Epe truly concur to the message. The Law is the Law, driving one-way is an offense punishable even here in Epe. Like what he said, if you actually drove one-way, then whether knowingly or not, face the warrant and wriggle yourself out of it SOMEHOW, ANYHOW. If you claim you're making a call and they book you for one way and you accept... bros, you're doing yourself. Except of course, one of you is not saying the truth. 7 Likes |
