I finally watched it and what I got by the end is not so much that living in a village abroad is not easy, but how much work is required to put food on the table.

The family you showed clearly recognise that "through painful toil you will eat food from the ground all the days of your life" and "By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground". So they did "be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the face of the earth”, and by the spread on the table by the end one can clearly see they are blessed with food in abundance.

Yet, I wonder if they are not even Christians, as the prayer at the end sounded like one you'd say for conversion.

They are learning about the Bible so yes it’s a prayer to surrender to Christ and thank you for watching. They are a simple family and they enjoy their lives
