Because we practise a 'feeding bottle' economy

We confess to pattern our democracy like the US, but that's a big lie. what practise in Nigeria is best called centralised federalism that strengthens the centre and weakens the states and LGs.

I've been living in the US now for 4 years + and I can boldly say Nigeria does not practise a government that has a definition closer to federalism.

It's not funny that the world sees the US president (POTUS) as the most powerful president in the world but that's not totally true.

The US president is only powerful over the military (Pentagon) CIA, Secret Service and FBI. And his power over these agencies is limited as defined by the Constitution. The mayor of a country has more constitutional and authoritative power in that county/city more than the president.

A good example was when Trump deployed military to WH during the #BlackLivesMatter but the DC mayor openly said she doesn't want the Military in her city and the military guys disappeared back to Fort Bragg.

That's an example of a country that practices true federalism and not a president who would sit on Also Rock as the Alpha and Omega. The US president is only powerful on diplomatic and federal economy, each state has its well defines mode of governance which Washington and the president cannot alter.

The resources gotten from the very few states in Nigeria are used to feed the politicians and northern part of Nigeria.

In the North,95% of roads there are pothole free. And funny enough,few cars are driven on them.
States where commercial activities are being carried out are still battling with bad roads,preventing the smooth running of business activities.

The northern military cabals at the twilight of Abdulsalam regime dug the archive and dusted these satanic document named 1999 Constitution which OBJ never saw but he (OBJ) used it to his advantage at the detriment of our will and wish.

Buhari was a big victim of this same document as an opposition politician. I remember him always crying foul during his opposition days and even promised to amend the Constitution to restore us as a true federalism country if elected.

The same guy is now harnessing the juicy (to the sitting president) but parasitic document to the citizens. The constution only favours those in power but they start shouting blue murder when out power.

Same reason why our guys do well when out of the country but get tied within the boundary of the country.

The current 1999 Constitution was the making of Abacha between 1994 and 1995.

He gathered some myopic guys in the name of drafting a new constitution for transition to civilian rule.

I'm sure you can personally see the tyranic and dictatorship spots in the Constitution that only favours those in power and made the opposition a total losers.

No one needs to be told that uncle Abacha personally backed the document to fit his dictatorship, tyranic, tribal, religious, parasitic and cabalistic agendas after transition to civilian rule.

The simple fact that it was the making of Abacha's regime makes it morally, legally and collectively unfit for democratic usage.
