Did you install an app before this happened?

When you turn it on at the MIUI icon hold power button for a long while to try force start it to safe mode
I didn't install anything. I just noticed it vibrating on its own, decided to reboot.then it refused to power on. I also tried the safe mode thing and it didnt boot. Sorry for the late reply, currently phoneless. Thanks for your response

Do u have an SD card in ur phone? If u do remove it, boot up ur phone and observe again. If it still continues then do what genius43 said reboot your phone once u get to the Redmi logo press and hold the volume down button till the phone restarts itself fully into safe mode.

Check it for about an hour or two if it works okay then check ur apps one by one to find the culprit....
Thanks for responding. I dont have any sd card

Good day everyone please I need advice on what to do.my Remi note 9 pro isn't booting. Nothing happened to it,only new dev was the update to miui 12,but That was weeks back.i got this phone July,it's stuck on miui icon.its not booting.i need help or suggestion of good repairers,I've tried recovery mode still nothing

The problem is from your recent MiUI or maybe you try to enable the new control panel. It's unable to start some system app. The solution to this problem is to clear the phone data, but you'll need your Google account and an hotspot to start the phone after you clear its data.

Turn the phone completely off. press and hold the power key until it start booting, while booting, immediately press and hold the volume up key until it shows system recovery page. Clear system data.

ND: Use volume up/down key to navigate and power key to select in recovery page

I don't use the phone. If you want to get the phone why wait for when someone gives you an assurance? Sellers on the thread store have the phone contact them while the price is still friendly.

How much space do you have left on the phone? You'll need to delete some junk files. Your phone is 32GB rom right?

Update your phone
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by genius43(m): 7:22am On Dec 03, 2020
chizzily:

Please its not

The update is not the reason for your woes and it will be very wrong to tell someone who isn't using the same device as yourself not to update because you don't use the same ROM.

Also I have a lot of people using this same device that update to this same ROM far longer than you without any issues.

If peradventure you get your phone repaired and you decide not to update to Android 11 which is already been tested that is your cup of coffee.

But I will advise you take it to the service center it might even be a hardware problem and not even a software problem, cases like that do happen.

I have said my bit.

I'm only talking from personal experience the update may or may not be the cause. I wouldn't want someone else going through what I'm going through hence my advice, he isn't under duress to take my advice. That others didnt have issue updating doesnt mean you will or won't

The advice is still very wrong. Anyhow you want to phrase it because you don't use the same device. As long as the issue didn't happen immediately you updated what happened have nothing to do with the update

your phone would have gone straight into bootloop if update was the issue.

Besides he said he just got another update after doing one not so long ago
