Aconomist: Dangote was not "sponsored" in the conventional sense of the word by Obasanjo but he was a god-son like Elumelu & others and enjoyed policy favouritism. In purely naira and kobo terms, he is an investment vehicle of the northern establishment today. |

RedPanthar: I like Dangote because we are finally getting an oil refinery in Nigeria. Above anything, I want to see the black race industrialize and become self-sufficient. And right now, Dangote is the only one taking us in that direction, that's why I support him. At the end of the day, Igbo, Yoruba or Fulani we are black first. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Aconomist: He's killing the economy He determines pricing and drives prices up in ways Nigerians don't give thought to Thanks to Dangote tomato paste wants to reach astronomical levels Rather than have a monopoly system I prefer to have multiple Importers than sell the country to a thief I support systems not people. Unfair business people An Ijebu business man is building the second largest refinery, BUA is also building. Modular ones are coming up, petrol. Is phasing out. Delta state is building state of the art petrochemical industries. SE is partnering with Hyundai to create massive refinery I support healthy business systems not fraudster's who hyperinflation their company portfolio to raise investors emotions, steal their funds, then decline their real value so investor funds remains in negative for even 10 years even with dividends inclusive while they use the cash to build their company and then record madd financial portfolio. This was what Dangote did. If he near me I go expose am I'm not your average Nigerian. I'm not stvpid 1 Like 1 Share |

Aconomist: I am not sure what your intentions are but I can see a hole in your post. First if this is about value added and the creation of jobs. I advice you read this report. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.oecd.org/cfe/smes/2090740.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiql7flyLLtAhVB-aQKHVSzAy8QFjATegQICRAB&usg=AOvVaw2yjBABonLDqMe0_FJTYu2L Secondly, I would like to point out that having one billionnaire from a particular area is not an indication of how business sarvy an average man from that area is. |

How can you say Igbo's are not manufacturing when you have never left zamfara state to nnewi or aba or Onitsha? Yes we may not have many billionaires but we have millions of millionaires who has made their money from small scale manufacturing. Its better the money is spread throughout the population than have one golden boy acting as a poster boy to the politicians 1 Like |

heniford2: That's why you don't develop mentally. If in all the discussions we had from economics to macro finance to forex to import export policies to production you didn't pick anything meaningful. Then I feel sorry for you We discussed on Marina and it's lacklustre form from a purely SW perspective. Even yorubas on the thread didn't see it as putting it down but as developmental talk to stimulate interactional talks. Change your reasoning Good Day 3 Likes 2 Shares |

i think they are not realy interested in nigeria.... they think the idea of nigeria is fruitless and futile.... and most that piss them off is to share a nation with muslims.... they wouldnt have that much issues with yorubas or other tribes so long they are not muslims.... they take this religion stuff very serious....maybe it has to do with their culture to believe the same.... thats why cownunu has it hard to convert them to jewism.... |
