Whatever point u are trying to make, the bold part of Ur post just makes it difficult to see the point.

You mention a Lampard who has been a coach for almost 3 years and has no trophy to show. Ole is also in Lampard's whatsapp group and then Gerrard that is coaching in the Scottish league ( and still hasn't won a trophy as we speak)

Whether u agree or not, Arteta winning a trophy and following up with EPL super cup ( Community shield) in his first season in charge as a coach of a premier league club like arsenal that last won a cup under Wenger has bought him enough time as is permissible. That sets him apart from every of those people you mentioned.

It is a known fact he's not playing the best of football now, but I think it makes no sense calling for his sack/replacement when from the onset it's obvious the club option for was a show of an attempt to rebuild from the scratch.

The same Lampard u are here referencing was almost not going to qualify for champions league last year until other top 6 times began faltering and dropping by the way side. So many Chelsea fans called for his fans as well.
I just they laff those way they compare ole/lampard to arteta

It is good that most Arsenal fans want Arteta to stay on despite our bad performances in the league. We are getting more matured. smiley

Pepe is in strong contention to start invthe league when he returns. Also I don't mind trying out Lacazette in AM Vs Spurs. It will come as a surprise for Jose.
come at which surprise? Even our rival fans knows that lacazette played 10 in our last 2 Europa matches. Na a whole mourinho no go know?

dia situations no even near sef.
It'll be very very irrational for arsenal fans to start calling for Arteta's head wen we know how limited this team is.. And Arteta is not even up to 1 football year at arsenal sef

Okay. I wan ask something..

Who had the better/best season by may 2021?

Arterta finishing 7th, and winning Carabao cup

Lampard finishing 3rd and getting to Round 8 of UCL

OLe finishing 4th and getting to UCL semi final.

I think you guys are construing strong criticism of Arteta to imply anyone is asking for his head. I don’t think anyone on this thread is remotely asking for Arteta to be fired.. that would be ridiculous but I am in support of giving him some critical feedback because for a while, Infact since he got hired, we have excused some of his obvious tactical mistakes and blamed players especially this season.

I know Arteta was not my first choice before we hired Ebening, neither was he was choice after Ljunberg but I support the guy 100% and desperately hope he succeeds because I am aware of the rot he inherited.

Depending... Almost everyone knows during Emery first full season we finished 5th, and It was because of his tactical flaw on the team(formations, tactics during the game and all). Yet no body called for his head. In fact, we were optimistic entering his 2nd year.

Arteta isn't on his first full year, plus he won an fa cup(wen we didn't have hope for any cup). Those two coupled with inadequate investment on the team will buy Arteta much time. So It'll be ridiculous for any fan to start voicing "Artetaout" at this stage of the season.

Mind you, our season (for top 4) is still salvageable, Arteta just needs to get his acts together and fast too. And I believe he's on the right part to instill his identity (at least, he starting using the 4 at the back formation)

I'm all in for strong criticism for a coach who is not getting it right after being provided with most of the materials he needs to excel ( Note I said "most" not "all" because not all coaches will be as fortunate as Guardiola has been in the club's he's coached)....But I do not enjoy watching people lump a whole lot of issues together just to score a point against a manager or just to say "I told you so"

I understand people are still love struck with the ozil effect ;they think Arteta should include him in his plans going forward. We may not know the full story, but from all indications it seems that decision is beyond Arteta. I don't get why anybody needs to blame Arteta for Ozil's situation that looks more like Club politics at play.

Now there is a section of the fans who still feel Good Ebening was not the problem and will from time to time point this line of argument out especially now that the Spaniard seem to be doing fairly well in the La Liga. They won't for once consider maybe EPL was just not the league his style of play is suited for.

Then there's a third force that keeps propagating the Gospel that Arteta plays Haram football. They forget how this Haram football beat Man city, loserpool, Chelsea and even got us the FA cup in the process.

Yes Arteta's team has been poor this season ( the results and our position on the league table confirms this) but I don't believe Arteta is as bad as some fans paint him. He has shown what he can do with a fully fit and in-form team. I hope the players get better with time and I hope players like Lacazette, Auba and Pepe get into form upfront to complement the work of our back men with their goals to dampen spirit of opposition players and limit the number of attacks they face.

If the team doesn't get better by the second half of the league I may start looking at Arteta with Jaundice eyes, but for now I will keep my strong criticism.

Thank you bro, I was beginning to get sick of the Fa cup and Charity cup trophy reasons, Teams who didn't strengthen as Arsenal in the window are playing better and doing fine on the table.

I read Chelsea fans almost asking for Lampard's sack just because they were far below in the table earlier in the season, and they were not giving him the excuse of he got them to UCL last season without any major signing in his first TWindow, To me, that's big or bigger than a cup trophy, similar with Ole at utd, so you can smell mediocrity and high standard from the 3 fans.

I don't want my Arsenal so down in the league and only doing fine against farmers in Europa and cup games. I cannot cope, cooperate, endure or understand.

Btw, I don't have much issue with Arterta just like I hadn't with Emery and ljumberg. I just want him do away with trashy players from the first eleven or the team entirely.

I don't want contract extension for deadwoods, or appearing like he's okay/confident in them.

But I'll agree with the Let the season end before we can start strong criticism.

U dey mind dem....Ole wey man utd fans dey lament on top after each match and Lampard wey people dey call out for their thread all tru last season. Some Chelsea fans even cursed Lampard for getting outwitted by Arteta in a cup final.....

Some people still believe Good Ebening would've won us FA cup, qualified us for Champions league and even be on number 2-5 on the EPL table presently grin

Arteta.. I need you to listen carefully.

I don’t care if Spuds are competing for the title and we are battling relegation.. I don’t care if it is in the EPL, Cup or street ball, losing to Spuds is not an option to me.

WE CAN NOT LOSE ON SUNDAY!!!

Whether as a player or a coach, I will prefer 7 FA cups to 7 UCL Finals without a trophy to show for it. The reason is long term effect. At the long term only those with medals can prove they were successful in their careers.

Heard Sunmisola will be available for £25M.
Arteta should not dull am.

At least, 5 players should be leaving this coming window, enough space and money freed.

Baba, critiquing Arteta does not mean we hate him, it does not mean we want him fired, it does not mean we don’t support him. We loved him as a player, more as a captain, an ambassador of the club and now a coach. That does not mean we should continue to shield him from obvious mistakes without honest feedbacks.

I want Arteta to succeed and I know most Arsenal fans want him to so I don’t understand this construed idea that critiquing Arteta after a year of shielding him means we hate him. I am tired of these losses and don’t condone mediocrity.

As an Arsenal fan especially one who knows the history of this club, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to condone a loss against Spuds!! I don’t care but not against Spuds..There is absolutely no excusable reason that justifies a loss to Spuds even in a 4 aside.. that is the extent of the rivalry that makes the game what it is...

Maybe I am just too old schooled.

Your criticism analysis is spot on,I like reading fans not condoning mediocrity, that's how top fans do, I want to believe Chelsea and utd are up there because they give it hot to their coach players and management.

Its like everyone is relaxed at Arsenal until fans begin to boycott games, protest and make the club lose money.
No wonder Morinho once said Wenger had s dream job, the Job at Arsenal is easy.

Imagine Chelsea sacked Sarri after winning Europa, losing carabao final to city and finishing 3rd.
Utd sacking Mourinho after winning 3 trophies in a year.
I'm not calling for sacking o, but I want an Arsenal who from the fans to the players and board want to win every game and bin that #Process talk Wenger scammed us with.

Btw, I used to think Only UK fans hate spurs this much. cheesy

Sarri have the backing in the TM
Mourinho changed tactics and was bringing in old players
Arteta still feed on scrap players and struggle to get players in TM
Imagine we can only spend 45m in the last day of TM
Arteta will ask for 2 players he will get one or nothing.

Sometimes, you need to put things into context. The Chelsea team you called have an owner who will give you what you want as long as you can perform. You don't expect the spending spree of Chelsea this transfer window and you expect the fans or owners not to expect much compared to arsenal. You can't give $5 and be expecting $5m profit. Na ponzi? Lol.

That we're giving Arteta some slack now is because we know the players he have on ground. And that's why we talk about process. Even the Liverpool you always use as reference was the process method they followed. The only thing we ask for Arteta for now is good attacking football for now, at least let's see his imprints and identity on the team. Wen we spend on good quality players(or wen he oversees a full transfer window with his own players), then we come fully for the manager.

But for now #process first#
