Yoruba is compulsory in Lagos @ Junior & Secondary School levels, and one Nigerian Language compulsory @ SSCE level(until a waiver was given by the Federal Ministry of Education in 2003).

AMOTEKUN has released a statement addressing the comment made by Amitolu Shittu, the Osun State commandant of Amotekun on indecent dressing and abuse of Yoruba Language.
