Just received results for my Academic test
overall score 7.5

I only had one week to prepare. Though I’m not satisfied with the writing score I go just manage the result like that abeg.

When I entered my studies, I had only one gag, and that one was already at the very final process. Before meeting with the rector, it was necessary to prepare a speech with the help of which I would present the seed, but as luck would have it, nothing came to my mind) But I gathered my thoughts and ordered a presentation speech here Essay Edge. Proof that my village people exist lol
So many ‘What ifs’ have been going through my mind since I saw my result.
Don’t skim in the reading part. Read the full test.that’s the only thing I know I did differently in the reading part. I plan on re-writing. Hopefully I max out this time around.

Something is wrong with BC!. A lot of persons got 6.0 in writing in my center. Even me, i got 6.0, i am torn between going for a remark or rewriting!

That task two question about the "Average age of people having children is rising in many countries, some people think this has effect on the family and others on the nation" is quite confusing. I don't know if i understood that question and answered well.

I seriously need God sent advice if i should go for remark..help

Don't bother. Listening is objective, the answers are either right or wrong. Remarking is only adviced for Writing and Speaking as those are subjective

Good evening guys,

Please my speaking test is on Monday but I have not received confirmation from British council till now. The portal still shows - awaiting approval.

I called and sent emails but I’ve not gotten any response.

Please should I still proceed to the test Centre on Monday or is there an alternative way to reach them?

I want to register for IELTS academic next month but my international passport is bearing my ex-husband's name though I'm yet to start divorce process but we re separated. Please I will like to know if I need to change the name to my father's name first or can I use it like that. Will it affect me? Has anyone been in this situation before? Thanks for your answers

General training practice all the questions under an exam condition and be strict with your self marking . Also progress to the master section. I got LRWS 8.5,8.5,7.5,8 in the real test (British council computer based) . I used this site for just reading and listening . I’m sure it would have prepared me for band 8.5 in writing and speaking if I had practiced it

Wow. Ieltsonlinetest really?... I actually used to think that their questions are too cheap and also their reading gt doesn't do justice to the real exam... Thanks bro

International English Language Testing System.
The purpose of the test is to evaluate the English proficiency of non-native speakers of English. This test is required to be taken by all students whose native language is not English and wish to study in College or Universities where English is the language of instruction.

IELTS has two types of modules - Academic and General Training.

Academic Module is required to be given by students who plan to study at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. While, General Training Module is generally a prerequisite for the people who either want to pursue vocational studies or plan to immigrate.

SECTIONS QUESTIONS TIME
Listening 40 questions 40 minutes
Reading
Academic Module 3 passages ( 40 questions) 60 minutes
General Module 3 sections (40 questions) 60 minutes
Writing
Academic Module 2 tasks (Diagram Prompt/Argument Prompt) 60 minutes
General Module 2 tasks (Letter Prompt/Essay Prompt) 60 minutes
Speaking 3 parts 11 – 15 minutes
Speaking : Speaking has 3 parts and lasts for 11-14 minutes. It is done on one-to-one basis with the student. This is usually done on another day.
Part1: Examiner asks general questions to the student, which relates to his/her work, studies, hobbies etc. This part lasts between 4 and 5 minutes.

Part2: The candidate is given a topic to speak, which is printed on a task card.

Students have to speak for 1 minute at least and are given one minute to think and write down some points. This part lasts between 3 and 4 minutes.

Part3: It's a two way discussion with the examiner (questions mostly related to part 2 topic will be asked).The discussion lasts between 4 and 5 minutes.

IELTS is graded on a scale of 0 – 9, known as Band Scale. Generally, a score of at least 6 bands for UG & 6.5 bands for PG is required in each section. The result is available in 15 working days.

I think it would be best for your IELTS result to carry the name you want to continue using.
