The recruitment over the last 2-3 years has been much better than in previous years. Now we are getting highly rated foreign talent as well as local British talent.

One thing we rarely consider though is physical ability. We tend to go for technical players alone while a club like Chelshit always considers size and speed as well.

But those players rarely transfer that success to senior team football because at that stage , you physicality can only get you to the door, but it won't take you through it over time because the playing field is leveled and their is no physicality advantage over others unlike youth level

Very true. Size is less of an advantage at the senior level as most have developed and are of adequate size. But United should stop going for too many of those mini me or slow poison players that are either so small or so slow that making it at the senior level will require extreme technique and extreme luck.

Puigmal ihas been shining in midfield ever since Gomes, Garner, and Levitt left. Like i once said he probably was as good as them but they used British parapo to play him out of position as RB for a long time.

Unfortunately his contract is up at the end of the season and it looks like he is not going to extend it. Probably going back to Spain on a free.
