2023: It’s Too Early – Goodluck Jonathan Speaks On Return As President by somaster(m): 1:42pm On Dec 05, 2020 |
Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has said that it is too early to talk about returning to office in 2023. Speculations have been flying about, linking the Bayelsa-born politician to a possible return to the office he left 5 years ago. But the speculations may have to continue as Jonathan could not give a definite position on his rumoured ambition. Speaking briefly with reporters on Friday after attending an event organised by the Commonwealth Community Choir in Abuja, the nation’s capital, Jonathan was asked if he would be joining the presidential race for 2023, and he said, “It is too early to talk about that.” President Muhammadu Buhari defeated the then incumbent President, Jonathan in 2015. Jonathan is not qualified to run except the 1999 Constitution as amended is futher Amended to State that the unexpired tenure of Yar'Adua that he completed is of no effect which means he has only led for four years. 1 Like 1 Share |

Too early meaning he hasn't decided yet? He better remain an elder statesman than allow a discredited party further drag him in the mud |

I have a feeling that the international community led by the newly elected president of America and prominent politicians including PMB are planning to bring Jonathan back in 2023. |

Buhari is a visionary leader. He signed this into law preventing ogogoro misfits like the fedora hat wearing cluelessness from even thinking of coming back in 2023. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/271662-buhari-signs-bill-limiting-tenures-of-vice-presidents-deputy-governors-who-succeed-principals.html |
