Felicity0001 was given a car for 10k a week during lockdown, during that period he traveled to Benin and Ondo state 5times. Is not about cheap rent. Some drivers are hoodlums, they will loot you and reck you, and you are one of them.

To be candid with you, I respect the way you run your business. It's the best if not the only way to run a business successfully where you have friends and family waiting to take advantage. The only thing I disagree with you on is this idea of drivers saving 800k in 2 months. You can gross 800k in 2 months if you really work your ass off but save 800k? I doubt it 100%. To net 800k sef you will have to be one of the luckiest drivers. Anyways keep doing what works for you. Good luck

How will drivers net or gross 800k in 2 months? Is he working 24/7?
Is every month December?.

Please don't even give his arguement any slight possibility. He's free to increase his remittance to 35k or 40k, any willing driver will take it, but saying drivers save 800k in 2 months is a big lie and even an insult to hardworking drivers.

Then show craze to the ones wey dupe you not person wey no dey there Na only him get bad experience for this world? What about drivers wey almost pay finish and owners use loophole keep the car? They should show the next owner craze? When when will it end?

Like dru said when they see how well the next one has it they are the ones that will be begging and pleading to come back. Everyone that has ever left my company is wanting to come back (not that there are many lol).

At the end of the day if na 1 million per week sef you wan charge, go ahead. But stop talking down on people and telling all the other owners they should be charging one million because it is "smart business".

I have read all your posts on this thread and today I'm going to address them.

This is why "Nigerian workers are bad". Bosses/owners make them so.

You obviously don't understand it costs more to find and retrain a new employee than it does to retain an old one. Same as customers. You obviously also don't understand what it takes to build LOYALTY and employee buy-in/ownership in your mission.

The companies that started fresh are struggling with new employees. Not to put my business out there but I made sure not to let ANYONE go during lockdown (even the ones I was thinking of firing before). I informed them because there was no income I could only afford to pay 40% and they were okay with that. How? FROM PROFITS WHEN THE GOING WAS GOOD. I prioritized their safety and opened later than other businesses. It was the that employees who insisted they would take the risk and go to work until they couldn't. THEY came up with a plan where they took turns running a skeleton crew. Why? I was thinking of them and in turn they thought of me. They understand we are a TEAM through the good and the bad.

During lockdown they did everything they could to stay open or continue doing business wisely. Guess what? EVERY MONTH SINCE SEPTEMBER THEY HAVE BROKEN THE PREVIOUS SALES RECORD and IN MY ABSENCE! They are currently posting numbers almost DOUBLE what they posted before all the katakata started. Their productivity is through the ROOF and my complaints/mistakes are the lowest they've ever been, even with the ones I was considering firing. I have been contacted by other frustrated businesses owners asking what I did to make my employees so loyal as they tried to poach them repeatedly and they won't budge. I just tell them I treat them like like to be treated. Even one of the so called "bad NL Uber drivers" now works for me and can testify to this if he chooses to reveal himself.

So please stop coming to this thread to insult and demoralize people trying to make a living. Create an Uber owner partner thread where you can criticize, insult and advice all you want and no one will bother you but savvy business man you are not in my opinion.

That's all the energy I have for your matter.

You are a real business woman not the one that feels like God. People that feel like God hardly succeed in business and I can say jpworld didn't just hustle to make money to buy cars he is giving people either on hp or Rentals, maybe he sold his father's land in village and came to invest it on the transportation business.

The turnover rate in transport business will be high when compare to other businesses ... This is why I 'recommended' max of 5 ... Anything more than that equals to the old saying of " MORE MONEY , MORE PROBLEM "

I try to be objective and honest with my response or post. And also I inject real life experince into it that been said...

Transport business is a tough business.. You have to be as tough as the drivers you are dealing with it .. I do understand JP's approach to business.. Different methods works for different people.. I am not for or against JP's method... I do understand him very well have been there ...

The day he argued increase in fuel wasn't really significant and not worth calling for fare increase, I knew he wasn't really a business man. Every 1 naira increase in your cost of production or services is significant when you scale it up.

What irks me most about him is always shutting down arguement of fare increase due to fuel prices and other things when drivers bring it up but he's always fronting the arguement of owners increasing their weekly remittance.

All is well sha.

Bro, naso the drivers dey talk ooo. That was how they were rubbishing a deal of 150k for 3 weeks (not even everyday trip and drivers can do ither things after drop off), fuel to be also covered by the rider. They said They could make that 150k in a week or two.

What do I know?

There is no owner that has not been cheated of rental fee, even with 10k weekly, infact is unaffordable, but with strict measures u will minimize it. Cheating owner of rental fee is common practice in this business.

I always give my opinion on how it works for me, I'm a believer of Corolla, i have been with Corolla for 4years plus, i only try 1 Honda, after dru23 talk much about it, at the moment i will continue to stick with Corolla. If i see a good honda deal, i can try 1 more

In mechanic industry ur services are the most expensive, to compare wat other mechanics charge, but you still have customers prioritizing u.

For example i change oil and filter b4 with 500naira, but now they collect 1000naira.

I change brake pad with 1000naira, will you charge the same? Tie rod socket, ball joint set, my mechanic charge 1000naira. Infact is bc i understand Corolla functions better i stick with Corolla.

If elumelu a billionaire can fire 2000 people during lockdown, i will do the same for my business to survive.

Just as ur services are premium, you didn't force anybody to use, same as me, if you like my conditions work wity me, if not the exist door is open.
