Donbrig: I don't think the proposed special bill is for the public. Based on the CBN circular, the bill is meant for banks with huge deposits more than the regulatory CRR requirements. So the banks can earn something on their hitherto sequestered deposits. 1 Like 1 Share |

Olaide1295: the third feature mentioned about the bills says it'll be tradable among banks, retail and institutional investors. If the CBN just wanted banks to earn money on debited CRR funds, First that already defeats the aim of the LDR policy. Second, all they need do is reduce LDR and with the excess funds, banks can buy more OMO bills at c. 7%, or do SDF at 4.5% There's a need to keep T-bills rate low to lower FG's borrowing costs, but at the same time suck some liquidity from folks who wouldn't buy at such low rates. |

Lazyyouth4u is actually correct. There must be communication and feedback between mentor and mentee. Both must know each other. I think you are confusing mentor/mentee with role model. 6 Likes |

This is not correct - Experienced level hires in IOCs collect above 30M per annum. awesomeJ: |

speak2lift: Where in the post you quoted is it suggested they collect less. Read it carefully now. maybe next time, if you don't understand a person's post, just ask first "are you saying...." Instead of jumping to say something isn't correct that wasn't said. |

Just saw Biden introduce Adeyemo as deputy Treasury secretary. And mentioned so much accomplishment, in this young mans kitty at the apex of American establishment, while mentioning his Nigerian roots. Yet he’s not 40. My head was swollen. The same feel I get in watching Adesina in AFDB. Same feeling I get when they mention Okonjo as she prepares to head World trade. Same feeling about the scientist that helped develop the new vaccine, a Nigerian . This country breeds some of the most brilliant minds on the planet. How come we are led by people who cannot do Lagos - Ibadan express in 21 years. People who will sit over a Nation that’s 6th oil producer in the world but go to land locked Niger to import petrol. All Nigeria needs to excel and contribute to civilization, is God chosen leadership. It will happen. When and how, nobody can tell. Can you? 6 Likes |

Nwokeomajayb: Lazyyouth4u: The two posts above are quite hilarious. The first poster wanted to appear in the good books of lazy youth for reasons best known to him. Instead f acknowledging him, lazy youth in his usual manner saw the opposite and lambasted the presumed "prospective ally." This life is not balanced. 7 Likes |
