divinemichael: Jehovah's witnesses are not among those who discredit or deny the preexistence of Jesus. Get your information right. Yes, Jesus was present when this statement was made by God because the Bible refers to him as God's "master worker" and "through him other things were made" No, this does not in any way support trinity or whatever because common sense should have told you that since Jesus and other spirit sons were existing before man was created, God was simply calling upon his son Jesus or speaking to the entire angelic sons when he said "come let us.." meaning he wasn't talking to himself. Infact this disproves trinity cos God wouldn't be talking to himself saying "come let us" since trinity teaches that Jesus is still God. THIS IS NOT A HARD GRAMMAR TO UNDERSTAND. |

femi4:I told you of the vision Stephen saw of God even in heaven now, where Jesus, a different entity, sat by God (not in God) It was the fulfilment of the Bible where it said; Jehovah said to my Lord (kjv translated this rather confusingly by saying my LORD {in capitals} said to my Lord...), sit down at my right hand side untill I make your enemies your footstool. |

If Jesus or the Word was God, then Jesus was not created he is eternal Just like the father. Micah 5:2: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.” Here we find a prophecy of Jesus Christ with the description that He has been from everlasting (literally, “from the days of eternity”). |

thinkmoney:That same Hebrew chapter 1 clearly stated that Almighty GOD called none but Jesus Christ 'GOD'. My brother, on what basis should we argue further? Remember, it was written in quotes to buttress the fact that Almighty GOD is speaking. We are not the author. We met the holy book and believe. So it is an undermine to our integrity to argue the obvious written and established facts. Meanwhile, I acknowledge your contributions because it really shaped our learning and knowledge. |

when it is said that Jesus is the first born of creation, it is used to show his preeminence or that he is over all creation. |

divinemichael: No body can tell you more about yourselves. Muslims are ignorant of the bible same way Christians are ignorant of the quaran. So Islam practitioners cannot tell you more about your God. I presume God's statement (come lets make man in our own image) in the book of "Genesis" was directed to Christ and possibly the holy spirit which is a proof for the doctrine of trinity... Why are you Presuming when the Bible is there at your disposal for learning ?. Lets see what 2 Timothy 3:16 says about the word of God (The Bible): 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, Now to the main question; Who Was God Referring To, When He Said Come Let's Make Man In Our Own Image? I will keep explanation short because of my current schedule, but if you need further clarification you can quote me or send me PM First, the bible did not say it was Jesus and the only spirit...that's just what you presume. Lets quickly take a look at the scriptures this question is about in Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:26 Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” NOW, this beginning the bible talks about is the beginning of Earth, Heaven and Earth Inhabitants (read Genesis 1:2-26) . So it is not the beginning of God and other spirit beings. The passage was more about how we (Humans) came to be in this world. So who are this "us" God was talking to ? God was talking to other Spirit Beings who were also at beginning . Lets look at Jesus conversation with the Jews in John 8:44 John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Here Jesus confirmed that even the devil himself was at the beginning. This does not mean that he was part of the "us" the bible talked about but proved that there were spirit beings at the beginning. Jesus himself was in the beginning with God. John 1:1-3 . There are more scriptures that gave hints to this..you can look at the bible book of ISIAH which talk about the Messiah (Jesus) even before he was born. THAT'S ALL I HAVE TIME FOR NOW. YOUR QUESTIONS REGARDING THE BIBLE ARE ALWAYS WELCOME |

AustineJohn908:Statements like this is what makes muslims claim Christians don’t understand what they are practicing, just following the Godless European version of a so called divinity that cannot be proven. Yeshua a man born of a woman created the universe that was in existence millions of years before him, & millions of years after? The Bible tells us that God is not a Man. 1 Like |
