lemme tell you my recent experience.
i was dating a girl coz i saw that she was clearly the type that wouldn't cheat. But this same girl throughout the 6months i was without a job coz of the pandemic never deemed it fit to spare me 200 naira (she's an essential worker who was getting paid all through the while). I loved her and she knew it, but nothing would make me settle with such a selfish person.

This reminds me of one story someone was telling me.
This very successful businessman ran into some problems financially. He was bread winner and took care of the home. He asked his wife to borrow him some money which he could use to pay the children's school fees and when things picked up, he will give her back. The wife refused him saying they are his children and he is the man of the house etc etc

Don't get scared over what's going on in the social media these days, I'm not married but like someone once told me "Your Marriage depends on how you want it to be" look at compatibility, level of communication, how you can handle each other flaws that it won't seem as an issue later also look at the level of openness and honesty if u can't deal with your partner smoking drinking or partying then don't marry such person thinking you can change the person because the change might not happen and u start getting irritated along the way.. Love is never enough in marriage because what happens when the love fades you just have to look for other things in your spouse that will keep the marriage going. If people see Love more as a decision rather than feelings I think their mentality will change about some things..
