Swift and Spectranet have a way of making their networks only compatible with devices they sell even if your phone has Band 40.

Theoretically by presence of Bands RN9s has band Band 40 same with almost every other device out there.

It depends on the quality of videos you are downloading.

You don't download 240p-360p videos and expect great viewing experience on a 1080p display.

I guess this should be the reason. Thanks

Liljboy edit your post on the compilation thread you aren't expected to comment there it is in the instructions if you read the first post on that thread.

If something is not there ask here.

As for your query use the Nairaland search box with the search term "Redmi 9 GCam".

Thank you.

It can, though u might need a lil tweaking to make it work.

Follow the attached post, it was intended for ntel but works for swift as well. Just substitute ntel for swift network in the conversation, and use this swift APN settings:

swift Network Nigeria(4G/LTE)

Profile Name: swift internet(this can be anything)
apn: lte.swiftng.com
Access Number: *99#
Username : – (leave blank)
Password : – (leave blank)

Thanks for sharing.

Here is a video I made on how to get ntel working on Xiaomi devices on any miui version. Unlike the other method I saw on this thread, this works whether your sim is on sim 1 or 2, or even if it's the only sim in the phone.

First of all, select ntel as the data sim and input ntel APN, now you just need to get to the *#*#4636#*#* screen, then enter the 'Phone information' of your ntel sim.
Now switch on Airplane mode.

If the network mode is on LTE Only, switch it to any other network mode.

But if it is already on any other network mode aside LTE Only, just disable Airplane mode, and quickly switch it to LTE Only before the ntel signal appears. The network signal will be stable. That is the trick.

But if you don't quickly select LTE Only before network signal pop up, it will disappear.

Basically, unlike other methods, this only takes 5-10 seconds to get it working.

Just watch the video

It works on my phone and on most Xiaomi phones I tried it on. If u're copying to paste, copy without the last star, paste the others and input the star manually it should take u to the page u want....

But make sure the swift SIM is in the slot u want to modify.

I'm yet to see any third party app that is as good as the miui call recorder. They all have issues! (any good one you'd recommend)?

Another thing is that I don't even know where the Google call recorder saves the recorded calls...
am using acr pro. Maybe you should try cos it is serving me well.

Try using 'PLAYit' player first.
Youngsage:

So sorry I'm just seeing your mention.

To answer your questions:

1. The video file isn't broken in any way. I downloaded it alongside several others from the same source but only this particular one refuses to play.

2. I haven't tried it on any other device yet.

3. Just about 300MB.

How do I know which custom codec to download and where can I download?

Thanks so much for your response

I may be wrong but I think the file uploaded to site was probably corrupted. You can try to download the same video from another site if you have data to spare

Hmmm... But that will be strange though.

I actually tried searching other sites but didn't find it anywhere else. Will keep searching.

Many thanks for your input
