When we were kids we were made to believe different things, most of which were scary and the consequence unfavorable to us. Share with us the things which you were made to believe as a kid and how you got over your useless belifs. I'll start.

Picking money from the ground. When am being told stories of people who picked money which did not belong to them on the ground, how they'll turn to goats, chicken, yam, wheel barrow and a host of others, fear engulfs me to the marrow. I refused to pick money from the ground under no circumstances but one day all that changed.
I was coming back from school (2011) under the scorching sun, thirsty and famished after the days compound work I was going home alone that day when I saw 50 Naira lying on the floor. grin I prayed in my (God if am going to turn into a goat let me but I will take this money) I bent down and picked the money and looked at myself and started laughing seeing the fact that am alive and nothing is wrong with me. I just kuku carry the money enter the nearest shop buy water drink, if not I don't know if I would be alive typing this.

I should sue those people for mentally downgrading me. When I look back at those I feel extremely stupid.

To guide us so that we can live a normal life and be ethically cognizance.

But, since we started copying foreign bullshits, we have lost our morals, and we even have some depressed souls parading themselves as gays, les and others abnormal sexual behaviours.

They keep bringing new sexual abnormalities to the public... From. L to the G to be B to T to Q to +. LGBTQ+...

LOL...I recall that one too....

As for me, as a famished twenty year old student, I saw N20 on the ground one night, and yes, I picked it up....and moved on cheesy

One common myth I heard, even during my childhood was that eating egg meant that the child would be 'a thief'.

Also, another myth....feeding a child with 'cow milk' meant the child would have the mind of a cow. Well, we don't have too many humans behaving like cows yet....(plus most of the violence in Nigeria is perpetuated by people who get mummy's milk as babies.).

Dem plenty o

1. They told me if I sit on mortar pounded yam will be bitter in my mouth; mumu me get to school and started arguing with my Yoruba teacher anytime I remember that day I always feel bad.

2. Then I used to sleep beside my mom so she always tell me if I place my head in balance with her's I will tall reach heaven; she stopped it the day I told her I want to tall reach heaven and see what will happen I chop one sanity-threaten knock that night.

3. I was told if I use my hand to stop rain coming down from our pan that my hand will stiff forever.

All these ones are small, the person that told the lie of Nigeria Vs India ending 99-0 with ball turned to big rock and okwaraji suppose to use his left leg instead of the right to play the penalty cannot make heaven I swear; that's what I call nationwide lie.
