The thing I notice with Arteta is that maybe he doesn't trust youths enough. I don't know why but that's just my thoughts
Can't he see what Pep is doing with Foden and Ferrer?

Even if he doesn't trust them, what's there to lose if he makes them established PL players? At least they can fetch an extra 5m each if they have to move on.

One thing I know Mourinho for is that once he begins to top the league it is hard for him to drop down. He may win Spurs their first title this season. Any way top six sob show and we are not part of them.

Have you thought about reckless spending?
Yes, I agree the scouts and those sanctioning the transfers have failed and should be sacked.

I had hope that Arteta would be a strict coach who will intensify the competition among any underperforming players. But so far, I don't see that.

Nb: Ferran Torres isn't from their youth team.

I'm surprised no one here is talking about Hector Bellerin's foul throws.. It's becoming something that happens every game

It doesn't matter he is a youth.

Bro that one different na.
Ferran Torres was bought for over 20m pounds. It's logical that he'll be in the squad. Moreover, he's had experience playing for Valencia first team, so he's ahead of his mates in academy. I'm talking of dem foden and saka dem. It's like arsenal buying Ansu fati now(for example) from barca, and if we're telling Arteta to play youths, we'll now be calling fati as part of the "youths".
E no gel na.

Maybe the understanding of your "youths" dey different. But what we mean is youths are players from your club who have limited or no first team football at the highest level.

At least if Arteta is trying to play cross and nod, he should bring in Mustafi around 60th minute and move him to CF.
Our 6-feet Moller too is available.

I understand you, but we signed Saliba for over 20m too and he has not kicked a ball.

Arteta is not playing any type of youth. He prefers old men like Willian, and co.

Now that we are not going to win the league or even finish top four, let him play the younger generation that will rep the club in future. Even if they fail to improve our league position fromwhat it is, at least they can increae their transfer value. That's my point.

Doing cross and nod against a Mourinho team is similar to trying to impregnate an ashawo. It won't enter.

I mean in subsequent matches. Seeing how Arteta was bragging about our 55 crosses against Spurs,i have a feeling cross and nod football has come to stay.

There came a time when Fans protested against Fourth Place. Many people see it as a Joke Now but they were absolutely spot on.

Really strange that people STILL do not see what the problem here was.

The club did not do enough to improve on top 4. Fans always sensed an opportunity to climb up a table with few additions here and there but Wenger and Gazidis could go in an entire window and sign no one.

Year on year club judged that staying still was good enough and then started falling away as those Teams lower than us improved. How do people not see that.

This really applies to most work/business situations. If you don't do enough to improve/better your skills, those below you will catch-up and eventually surpass your level.

That summer of 2015 when all we did was sign Cech is a classic example of just aiming to stay still. Club desperately needed an Aubameyang type Striker to take massive strides. God knows what could do with Aubameyang and Giroud as back up but Wenger decided Giroud was enough.

If we showed just a little bit of ambition and signed a proper striker to play with Ozil -who was one of the top three #10s in the world at the time, we could've won it. No doubt we could've won it.

All these Decisions and Summers and winters without signing anyone are coming to bite us now.

Spot on. It's no wonder we have so many deadwoods then and there was no continuity and structure for incoming coaches.

2015/2016 season was one of the years I know I was dead mad at arsenal and I hated arsene Wenger in a footballing sense(I don't hate the man as a person oo). We had one of the most complete 1st team in the league but a weak bench. What was just needed was just a strong bench and a different variety of striker to giroud. What did he do? He brought in only Cech wen we were crying out for better players. Since that day, I hated arsene Wenger as an arsenal coach. Now see what arsenal have become cos we didn't plan and recruit properly

Who will nod five goals per match?

Even if you join Giroud head with Sledge hammer, five goals per match is not possible.

Besides we had 44crosses against Spurs, yet just 2 on target. Check the ratio.
