I gathered that there’s a 5% on the 12,570. Jokers

Akannitommy:
I got the same email just a few minutes after sending a DM to their twitter handle @vfsglobalcare. Mind you, I already made payments proactively since last weekend and sent my transaction receipt plus courier form since Monday. I simply replied their email with the same details. NB: I paid N12,570 instead of N11,310. Let's wait and see how this episode evolves.

So can I go-ahead and pay the 11K as stated in that mail?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Akannitommy: 12:05pm On Dec 09, 2020
5% for what? If there is a 5% charge on the courier amount (N11,310), there is already more than 11% extra on the amount I paid relative to the amount being requested. Hence, they owe me and not the other way round. BTW, they are scammers because we are being charged up to 600% of the real value of courier service. I would have paid N1,600 to get it back through DHL if I did 2-ways courier option from start. Bunch of thieves!

Hi Insanity, what if you try calling DHL customer care and quote the return way bill tracking number to inform them that the shipment is ready for collection at Visa Application Centre ( quoting the full address) . Please contact details of DHL Team in charge of shipment delivery and pickup. Please contact the customer service team by email on nginquiry@dhl.com and copy ngdispatch@dhl.com or call any of the DHL lines 08039077000, 08002255345 or 012700908.

You can try email DHL with your details let their team go there and lets see if that works.

Yeah, I've done that now, they're going to pick up today, I will track it this evening. Initially, DHL customer service gave me the wrong information, said they're waiting for notification from VFS to come and pick up. I spoke with VFS too, hopefully this will be over by the end of the day.

Thanks a lot for your help.

You need to upload e medical slip via webform.
Your webform will be replied in 11-15 days acknowledging receipt. Then IRCC should update your profile

I really hope this works for him/her. I have uploaded the e-medical slip via webform over a month and two weeks ago, yet IRCC hasn't updated my upfront medical on GCKey. They haven't even acknowledged my webform. I had to reupload the slip two weeks ago, still no response, no update.

I read on the int'l students forum at Canadavisa.com that a lot of other persons who were in this situation eventually got their BVL and passport requests.

Damn! IRCC is too frustrating.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Chikaima18: 12:24pm On Dec 09, 2020
Finally done with VFS and their wahala. Passport received few minutes ago.

I didn't receive my counterfoil and loi until yesterday. Mehn the experience is another story to tell.

Anyone having challenges with ircc or vfs should keep raising webforms, sending emails and calling vfs. It will end in praise.

Does the above mail in anyway signify that MY PASSPORT IS READY FOR PICK-UP?

Thanks

Please I need help with deciding if to defer my admission below is my application timeline.

My school resumes winter semester classes Jan 11th. With the way things are it not likely I meet classes. In addition to this, I cant apply for refund after Jan 22nd 2021. New student are not admitted in spring semester so I have to wait till Sept 2021.

Application date : Sept 30th
Medical passed: Nov 25
NSE letter requesting for IELTS : Nov 19th submitted same day.

Self sponsored N10.5m closing balance
Raised web form on 7th Dec with 12 months bank statement to prove banking history. I only submitted for 4 months initially.

You have the grace of 60 days after a visa rejection to file for appeal or judicial review. I believe you must have exceeded this stipulated time. Accordingly, your best bet is to reapply and carefully address the concerns that were raised by the responsible immigration officer. You may want to share a copy of your GCMS note on this platform, so we can discuss about your prospects and better ways to overcome the immigration officer's concerns.

It will end in praise

Exactly!!!!!!!

As soon as I confirm my passport is at VFS I'll contact UPS and give them the details of return waybill number to pick it up.

Yeah, you're right. I was given the wrong information. VFS is a big wahala, I had to use autodialer app before I was able to reach them this morning. It will be over soon.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello Gurus,

I received my BVL on November 25 and since then I haven't heard anything from IRCC. I have sent emails and raised a webform. Is there anyone else in my shoes?

Is it a paper or online application?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by ehiremen2002: 12:30pm On Dec 09, 2020
I am planning to put in a new application but was wondering how I can prove 1. travel history , 2. my tie in Nigeria is stornger than that of Canada.

However I have aunty who stood as my guardian cos I was below the age 17 last year. But I only have a window mum in nigeria that I will make me return.

In my last application I added a lot of document including late dad obitury and death cert etc

Use their email. I was able to book appointment for my youngest daughter in January through email.

I don’t think you should defer. It states that they started reviewing your NSE document on the 1st of Dec. The Nigeria Student Express is faster processing route which means that you should get a response soon enough so keep calm. I hope the gurus will add theirs too

I meant there’s a discount of 10% on the 12,570 which comes to about 11,310 payment request.

You might have to defer; yeah, it's an option. But I'll say wait a little bit longer, say, till the last few days of the fall term. If you get no response from IRCC by then, then you could defer, or still wait till Jan 20th, during which time you could be studying online.

But would I still be able to travel for Winter term should I get a favourable response in Jan 2021.
Considering classes would have started. Hope I wont be sent back at POE.
