But you've just confirmed what I meant or wrote at the bolded below, by you.

I quote again ;

I hope this has clarify what my statement?

My bro let's take a few steps back to see where the misunderstanding came from.

During the course of your research you came across an information that you decided to share here.

Two people decided to give a feedback to the real life experience on some of the paths that may likely be taken. To bring the usefulness of that information to reality.

Your respond to their contribution seems centred on how you interpreted what you read on paper and not real world circumstances.

You referred one of them back to what is on paper that you posted and you told the other that not a dime will be spent to achieve that. Even when you have used such words like "afford it" in one of your comments. That becomes even more confusing.

One way or another, you left a void that might leave your readers with not enough information that will enable them have real life review of what you posted.

The information you dropped is a good one but is not really a topic that is openly discussed here anymore. So many a time is just an open secret that has been in this forum, resonating with coded words. That only those with the need for it grab easily. So allowing room for more information to that topic to come in, from people who might be breaking the rules. Will go a long way to bring more light to some of the things you may have overlooked or not considered.

For any FTA addict... Bud and backdoor, is where the journey always to a reasonable extent comes to a graduation point. After that, everything else is just like repeating class over again.

I meant well though. But I get your point now, at the bolded. Well, I felt since it's just to buy certain decoders and the size of dish needed that's all there is and no harm in that but I get your point all the same.

I guess, what I consider free is not what it is for somebody else.

Thank you bro for the clearity. I was even thinking that maybe 2.4m in the South West can nail it. But I spoke with olofofo few days ago about it and he said I should be talking of 3.5-4m. I even like the OSN and YES, but both are completely beyond my reach except with 3.5-5m.

Good day sir,

Please, I bought C-Sat 8 Pro+ receiver about 2 months ago, and I connected to it the following:
68°e
51.5°e
42°e
7°e.
But I have not experienced multistreaming, server accounts or software updates. Please how do I multistream, update software and possibly use server accounts on it.?

I also want to experience the benefits that comes with the receiver. I will appreciate all detailed explanation.
Thanks sirs.

No multistream channels on those birds you are on. The Tshare account that comes with is not useful on small dishes, you need bud(big dishes). Lastly, if you are not having any issues with it, no need upgrading it. Not all upgrades are good.

What our bro said above is absolutely right and the bolded will be easy to relate by anyone who has been in that world for some time. Because if your existing decoder you have in your house does not come with a server/ account that can open it. Then you have to pay for it, before such a decoder can become useful for such a purpose. However, if your decoder fall short of doing that, then, you must purchase a specific device ( decoder) that falls into the category of doing such.

One way or another, you just ended up spending a dime, if you fall into the above two categories.

For the love of it, spending when one has should not be an issue, besides, no service provider can give that much for a lesser amount in the long run.

You need to stroll up and check my replies above to see what it truly entails to catch the bird without paying a dime or needing any account.

I have seen your message but you can't get it all even with the specific accounts if you don't have a big dish...

I am using a mediastar 2727 decoder in my house, I did not activate the forever account because I don't have space for big dish... The forever account works when you have big dish... If you activate it without big dish you will not get those packages.

It's neither here nor there when it's come to whether free or not.

Below is the criteria or requirement(s} to launch and hit the position ;

The number one and two are more flexible and visible for everyone if you can afford the required dish and decoder. cool

Thanks sir, I really comprehend and appreciate your response.

I noticed you came here seeking info on how to explore/experience key functionality of your decoder.

Multistream

Server account.

Autoroll ( though you did not mention it)

I also noticed the response/ advice our bro gave to you.

What I am about to say next, is not in anyway to discredit him but rather add something he might have been too busy to add.

So try and track 28.2 degree east (joy tv position) with the best signal possible. Then do a blind scan or you can just add this TP manually

12645 V 30000

Then scan... That way you can have a feel of the multistream function in your decoder by viewing the multistream channels that scan out, in the above frequency

Secondly just like our bro rightly said, you need big dish to experience the server account / autoroll for now. So if you ever choose to experience such by getting a bigger dish. Below are some satellite position to look out for

13e, 39e, 4w, 30w
9e, I w, 1 9e .

AFN powervu autoroll @ 5e, 9e, 57e

Then some few package @ 68.5e

To whom it may concern...

This is what you already know but for some reason you just want to be double sure it's a way out, since the flash drive issue in ourTV decoder is yet to be resolved.

Will inserting a micro SD card of 32 to 64 gigabyte, in a USB card reader to function as an alternative. Since we have been told that the decoder it's only limited to a 4 gigabyte Flash drive work ?

I said a big Yes to that question.

Since 2014, that I followed that path, I have noticed that it has always succeeded, where flash drive has failed.

So since then, I will rather buy a larger memory card and store my info/movies or use for PVR functionality in any decoder I insert it to with a USB card reader/ adaptor

Exactly what I did to get the pvr function to work. But the funny thing is that the decoder refused to play a lot of mp4 videos. It plays only one video of all the video files (mp4) I put in the sdcard. T
I converted all the files to mp4 using the same method and software. The reason why it played one and refused to play others still baffled me. I think the decoder is still work-in-progress.

If one is not already programming a Linux box , please do not recommend to others..
