They refused to evolve and so they died, the same way Yugoslavia and USSR died. We pray and hope Nigeria would not become a Motorola some day 1 Like |

edoairways:actually that was a major factor plus when they came to android they offered less for more compared to competitions The didn't ignore touch screen, they implemented it The only issue is that they failed to remove the physical keyboard which they still use in their latest phones up till today except the z10 and z30 ,that shows you how they haven't learned from their mistake 1 Like |

Ezenwa12345:wrong If you go to wikipedia and check iPhones and regions they were released to, nigeria is always part expect for few older devices They have stores in nigeria,I think mostly in malls Samsung also have stores in nigeria and they sell the latest devices, leave your house and the slot in your neighborhood before coming to conclusions Even slot has their devices but mostly keeps them Indoors because most people won't buy If apple starts selling their old devices brand new in nigeria they'll start opening stores everywhere because people would start patronizing them but for example the 7 isn't sold in their stores anymore and how many people can afford the 8 upward ? Let me tell apple is making their money clean in nigeria, people can afford it Do you think celebrities or our politicians buy fairly used? |

Blackberry failed to work on their terrible batteries. For a mobile office device with a high functionality, batteries strength ought not to have been compromised. Secondly, blackberry devices failed to imbibe or follow their android technology. They decide to remain with their old operating system which had limited functions compared to android. Thirdly, RIM the makers of blackberry failed to bring in Whatsapp into their chatting apps as they solely relied on their bb messenger. Other android devices already had Whatsapp which was a widely accepted social media app then. For Motorola, a dying American phone company, Lenovo, a chinese computer firm bought them over so as to enter the US markets and compete favorably. 1 Like |

Splitmind:thats why they made the blackberry 10 have the ability to install android apps but it was to late for them then plus why go through the stress of downloading or sending apps when you could get a better device that would download them directly from the official store? 2 Likes |

amstamon:actually they had touch screen devices even with physical buttons for example the q10, passport and some of 9900/bold series They created 2 fully touch screen devices without physical keyboards The blackberry z10 and z30 The z30 is a nice device,I know someone using it but it's more like a side phone to the person now 1 Like |

Sagem was the strongest, drop and pick kind of phones. sagem , alcatel ,sony Ericsson are still very relevant in the gsm industry.they hv veered off into Electronic components manufacturing. most of their products form the bulk of technologies used by network Carriers. alcatel for instance played a major role in the setting up & upgrade of Glo network. besides most of their components are found in almost all of today's popular phones and electronic gadgets . |

Htc, Sony, LG, Motorola are still in the market but is not easy for Nigerians to buy those phone because of the value of our currency.. I have a friend in the US that recently got a new Motorola for $550 but we all know how much is that in our currency and how many Tecno and infinix you will get with that. These brands produce topnotch phone and it would not come cheap |

NewBeijing:You are right. Blackberry kill itself the day they start rolling BBM for android device. Thats why Apple is wiser. They will never roll out facetime for android. For now blackberry had migrated to android with top notch devices and good features in terms of battery capacity and others. Unfortunately, they are not cheap. Motorolla seems to had changed brand name. I miss Bird, Sagem, Sendo, LG, Trium and even Philips. |
